With the award season well underway, there is plenty to see at the cinema. February saw the release of a variety of films, offering something for everyone. Whether you love a classic rom-com, action adventure or biography drama, you might be spoilt for award wining choice this month at the cinema.
Fifty Shades Freed
The third and final film in the Fifty Shades trilogy adapted from the huge successful novel written by E. L. James, Fifty Shades Freed sees the marriage of Christian and Ana. But will their marriage run smoothly or will there be threats towards their perfect life together? With an amazing soundtrack to accompany this romance thriller, Fifty Shades Freed is a must see this March with your girl friends.
The Shape of Water
Up for an astonishing 13 Oscar nominations including best picture, leading actress and original screenplay and winner of two awards at the Golden Globes, there is so much hope for this film that is due to be released in cinemas this month. The Shape of Water shows a sci-fi, fantasy twist on a traditional love story where Elisa develops a rare relationship with a creature being held in a secret research lab during the Cold War. But not all is as sweet as it seems and things quickly turn into a romantic nightmare. The buzz around this film and the awards won and nominations that the film has been given can only mean this classic monster movie with a romantic twist will be well worth a trip to the cinema.
Lady Bird
Another Oscar nominated film (or should I say 5 nominations) including best picture and leading actress, Ladybird shows a unique portrayal of the relationship between a mother and daughter through the comedic drama story-line. Following the high school senior, known as Lady Bird, through her teenage struggles of her first romance, school plays and college applications and the interactions between herself and her mother. This quirky, artistic film shows a true and genuine representation of women in recent years and the important, loving and rocky relationship between an outspoken teenager and mother.
If you’re planning on going to the cinema this February, you should definitely check out one of these three films, if not all of them. With two Oscar nominated films in the line up, there is some award winning cinematic excellence to be seen. Whatever genre you’re into, there will be something for everyone, this February thanks to award season. Check out some of the Oscar nominated films to see if you agree with the nominations and make predictions before the big night in March and become a film critic yourself.
It is always fun to go to the cinema, instead of watching films in the house all the time. Put Netflix on hold and any other plans you might of had like playing on the best gambling site& playing online games such as Slots Baby, slotsbaby.com/all-games, or Candy Crush and head to your local cinema. Take your friends, partner or family, grab the popcorn and immerse yourself in the world of film and escape reality for an hour and a half.

I never heard of Asian Rhinoplasty before – I can’t imagine anyone wanting their nose bigger! I never thought about it before, but one thing I can be happy about is my nose. I have a smallish nose. And it didn’t cost me anything! Yeaa!!
