Mountain Living Perfection: The Rocking Chair That Makes It Official
If you’re looking for the ultimate rocking chair for mountain living, you’ve come to the right place because, as y’all know, I am not a very good gardener!
Lord knows, I try! But I’ve realized that the secret to enjoying “mountain living” isn’t actually about having a green thumb—it’s about having the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view while someone else does the weeding.
Wouldn’t that be amazing? My mountain living wish list currently includes:
- A professional gardener
- A housekeeper (I’m getting greedy now!)
- A personal cook
But since I’m still doing the yard cleanup myself, I at least have my new chair…
Anyway, after 2 weeks of yard clean up, (with at least 2 weeks left to do!) I’ve finally found the missing piece to my garden puzzle: a proper Greenvines rocking chair.
Living up here, I had a specific vision: me, a glass of wine, (Maybe marshmallow vodka, I’m not picky) and a rhythmic creak-creak-creak while I wait for the wildflowers to bloom and the deer to wander through the yard. Of course, the reality usually involves Walter, my 3-month-old puppy, running around like a possessed fluff-ball, but hey—at least I’m comfortable while I watch the chaos!
Why Greenvines is a Mountain Essential
I’ve teamed up with Greenvines to level up my outdoor space. When you live in the elements, those rickety wooden chairs just don’t cut it—they splinter, fade, and rot before the season is even over. Greenvines furniture is made from recycled HDPE, which is fancy-talk for:
- Weather-Proof: It stands up to scorching sun and winter snow.
- Puppy-Proof: It’s tough enough to survive Walter’s “shark phase” (yes, he’s a chewer!).
- Low Maintenance: It’s rot-proof, meaning I can spend more time in my craft room and less time staining furniture.
It feels modern but looks as natural as driftwood. It’s the perfect spot for watching a mountain sunset or just hiding out with a good book while enjoying the fresh air.
Time To Brag!
I put the chairs together MYSELF!! YES! Me! With arthritis in my hands. ME! Granted people that put things together more than I do would be faster. BUT I did it in 1 hour and 12 minutes. Granted, without Walter’s help I could have shaved off a few minutes. HA!
I also (with 3 stops for a quick breather) managed to get the chairs out to the perfect spot, all by myself! I am TRULY patting myself on the back) The directions were REALLY easy and straightforward, it’s just that these are some seriously heavy chairs.

The Best Rocking Chair View in Sandpoint, Idaho
Tried the deck, but we have wooden railings. They block the view. Tried on the porch, naaaa can’t fit two. (WHO builds a mountain home and doesn’t add a wrap around porch??!) Then the light went on in my brain. In the front garden! I can see mountains, Lake Pend Oreille, trees, AND eventually my wild flowers will bloom. It’s the perfect spot!
