Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase on Blu-ray #Giveaway #NancyDrew

**“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”**

Nancy Drew And The Hidden Staircase is heading home on Digital March 26, 2019 and on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack & DVD on April 2, 2019

I’ve mentioned before that I had the entire Nancy Drew series of books when I was growing up. My daughter read them and now I’m so excited to share them with my 7-year-old Granddaughter Alice. I loved these mysteries!! I really couldn’t wait for the movie. I have to say OmGEeeeee cute! Nancy Drew is everything I hoped for in a movie.

The books were written by Carolyn Keene starting in 1930. The second book she wrote was Nancy Drew and The Hidden Staircase. The movie adds a contemporary modern spin but stays pretty true to the book.

I love all the characters but I have to say Linda Lavin is as cute as ever! 81, she’s eighty one years old!  She is my new role model.

The actress that plays Nancy Drew; Sophia Lillis is as cute as a bugs ear! Bright blue eyes, red hair and freckles.

Nancy Drew is brave, like crazy brave. Oh my gosh I want to be that brave! I want to able to see the clues and not freak out when our house makes it settling noises. I admit I also want to find our hidden staircase! I mean seriously how COOL would that be?!?!

What would you want to find under your hidden staircase? Personally, I’d love a box of coins and jewels I mean hello its a hidden treasure! I’m gonna dream big!

I hope that Warner Brothers brings these iconic characters back for more Nancy Drew mysteries!

Based on the Bestselling Book!
After the death of his wife, Carson Drew decides to leave Chicago behind and make a fresh start with his daughter in River Heights. But for 16-year-old Nancy Drew, life in a small town is mighty dull. She longs for excitement, adventure, and the chance to make a difference. Nancy gets that opportunity when she is asked to help solve the ghostly activity at the Twin Elms mansion. Can she help explain the creaking footsteps, exploding lightbulbs and the ominous creature? Is it the handiwork of high-school bully Derek Barnes? Or is it possible that the ghost of original owner Malcolm Colfax is back for revenge? Recruiting her best friends George and Bess, along with local “mean girl” Helen, Nancy Drew is on the case!

Yes I was a huge Nancy Drew fan/addict, lol I found some of the original books in my closet one day and asked my mom if I could read them. After she agreed, I was hooked and she kept buying Nancy Drew books for me throughout gradeschool, junior high and high school. I still have all those books, and they are the yellow hardcover editions, books 1-50 (and 4 of them are the bluecover hardback original editions.) 🙂

I’m a huge fan. I still have all the yellow-spine Nancy Drew books from my childhood, plus I’ve collected all the original texts as well. My daughter’s only five, but she’s a big fan of the “Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew” series, which are pitched at a younger audience.

The code took me about one and a half minutes to solve. I had difficulty figuring how to use it. I did not realize you had to click on the objects at first.

I was more of a Hardy Boys fan than a Nancy Drew fan. I would love to see this movie with my niece. I think that I would enjoy watching this with her.

I loved Nancy Drew mysteries when I was a kid. I read them often and even believe there was a tv show. Can’t remember if it was a cartoon or not.
