Pumpkin Time by Erzsi Deak GIVEAWAY!!

PumpkinTimeStory Time

I have the sweetest little book to share with you today. Pumpkin Time is written by debut author and master gardener Erzsi Deak and illustrated by Doug Cushman a New York Times bestselling illustrator. This is a great book for fall. I take that back, this is a great book anytime! The illustrations are so totally adorable!! The story is centered around Evy, a little gardener.  A very focused gardener at that. This is a fun, read-a-loud book that centers around fall, gardening, and pumpkins! BIG BONUS in the back of the book are a couple of easy-to-follow recipes. The kids and I will be making those! There are even activity pages on the It’s Pumpkin Time website!  I’m excited to share the photos I took of the kids reading this book. Emma is 5, Eli 4, and Alice 3.  I have to say, Pumpkin Time hit a funny bone with Alice.  She laughs hysterically when I read this book to her.
Erzsi Deak really knows how kids get tuned into tasks and pay little attention to things around them. Evy is intent on her garden and misses the hilarious happenings all around her.

This is a wonderful fall story, perfect for getting ready for Pumpkin Time! Perfect for harvesting time! Pumpkin Time captures the beauty and bounty of fall and harvest time, and encourages parents and kids to try their own hand at gardening. Erzsi Deák is the founder of Hen & Ink Literary Agency and resides in Southern France. This is Ms Deak’s first picture book. Doug Cushman is the illustrator of numerous bestselling picture books and beginning reader books. He lives in the U.S. and France. 8 Enthusastic thumbs UP! WAY, WAY, WAY UP! for Pumpkin Time!

Refreshing My Old Blog Posts: The Good, The Bad, and The 404s

Updating an old blog post is a lot like an archaeological dig. You expect a quick “dusting” and end up unearthing a series of questionable life choices from 2014. I recently opened a “quick update” only to find:
  • Missing Images: Key tutorial steps now require “imagination.”
  • Dead Links: Half my brand partners have rebranded as “AI Crypto Collectives.”
  • Antique Fonts: Styles that haven’t been cool since the dial-up era.

Why I’m Optimizing This Blog

It’s not glamorous, but fixing broken links and whispering “Pick me!” to Google makes the site faster and easier for you to find. I’m not spiraling; I’m just cleaning up the blog ghosts.

While You’re Here…

  • Win Big: Check out the sidebar for my current giveaway (it’s actually alive!).
  • Earn Cash: Rakuten still pays you to shop. Why wouldn’t you?
