Y’all knew with the word Granny in the title I was going to accept the offer to review it!! I am so glad I did! This book Rock Away Granny is so cute.
5-year-old Alice and I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! Being Alice’s Granny is so much fun!! So this book was a hit!

The little girl in this book gets dropped off at Granny’s house for the day. She is less than thrilled and prepared for a long boring day. After all Granny just rocks in her rocker. However, no sooner than Mom pulls away from the house, Granny pulls the little girl inside!

First Granny brushes her hair into pig-tails. Then paints her nails. Granny moves furniture and brings out her vinyl record collection. With my man Elvis having the largest stack! MY kind of Granny!!
Granny teaches her granddaughter to dance!! There very own Dance Party!!  From the Bunny Hop to the Twist, the Swing to the Monster Mash and all the 50’s 60’s dances. The duo has a great time! Just as Mom pulls up outside the girls are crashing out in the rocking chairs. Mom worries that her daughter had a boring time. She didn’t need to worry! Granny has moves!!
The story is great for highlighting that special bond that Grandparents and Grandkids have. It’s a fun book all the way to the end where there are step-by-step instructions to learn the Bunny Hop and Rock and Roll Dancing.
