Steffen Jacobsen’s New Thriller “Trophy”

When I was supposed to be packing the house for our move I admit I was often sucked into Steffen Jacobsen’s Trophy. HOLY MOLY!!!! Talked about being hooked from the first page. DANG!!

This book is not for the faint of heart. This book is fiction but with the way the world is progressing I’m sure there are some sick and twisted folks that could make the storyline happen.

Trophy has the ultra rich stepping up from hunting animals for trophies to hunting people for sport. Wealthy and bored with hunting animals ultimate challenge is people. Trophy is so disturbing. SO addicting. I had to make deals with myself. Pack one box and read two chapters. Soon it was I’ll pack extra tomorrow. Staying up late at night to finish another chapter. It’s THAT good!!!

Elizabeth Caspersen-Behncke finds a DVD in her recently deceased father showing a young man being murdered. Watching the DVD Elizabeth begins to believe that her father may have been the one to pull the trigger.

So many questions!! WHY would her father have this DVD? Would he actually commit this horrible act? Elizabeth hires Michael Sander a private investigator, security consultant to find the answers.

In the mean time, Superintendent Lene Jensen is in the middle of investigating Royal Life Guard Kim Andersen’s suspicious death of a man’s staged suicide on his wedding night?

Sanders and Jensen come to the realization that the two cases are connected by uncovering a hunting club formed by Denmark’s elite. Now the two must solve these murders before they become the hunted!!

WHINES

I love the suspense, the story is gruesome and intriguing. Jacobsen get’s extra kudos from me for being able to bring together two strong professional, headstrong characters that thrive on working alone and throws them together with OUT a love story or romantic twist. I’m a suspense junkie.

After the death of her industrialist father, Elizabeth Caspersen finds a compromising DVD in his safe: it seems to show two people being hunted to their death in a gruesome, well-organized manhunt. Michael Sander, a private investigator and security consultant, is hired to find out who the victims are and why Caspersen was involved. Meanwhile, police investigator Lene Jenesen is investigating the death of a decorated war veteran found hanged on his wedding night. Having recently come into money, the man appears to have been driven to suicide, but the question is, why?
