Sunday Prayer List
More (maybe) too much information about me. As IF I don’t share absolutely everything with you guys! So many it’s not a TMI post because you guys already KNOW all there is. (See? YOU understand why I need the Sunday Prayer Lists!) Anyway…….. here goes.
I’m not a real religious person. I was born and raised Catholic. I don’t go to church. I do believe in God. I do say my prayers at night. I do believe in the power of prayer. I don’t think prayers need to be formal I think you can just TALK to God.
My friend Sonya over at Sonya’s Happenings started Prayer Request Sunday’s. I saw that and thought OHMYGOSH I need in on that!! I wrote to Sonya and asked if I could elbow my way in and here we are. If you’ve never been to Sonya’s blog you should. She is as sweet as can be. Her site is always full of coupon codes, giveaways and prayer request too!!
I know we have so many Peanuts that could use a prayer said for them. Sooooooooo anytime you need it. Request a prayer to be said in your name. You don’t have to say why.
A simple “I could use some good thoughts this week” would be fine. If you want to elaborate feel free.
In return when you are talking to YOUR Higher Power mention the Peanuts that are in need. In this day and age, financial problems, health problems, loneliness, sadness are all around us. Maybe our little prayer group can make a difference. We won’t know until we try.
I’m going to re-post this on Sunday’s. Anytime during the week you want to come and post feel free.
So? What do The Peanuts think of this idea?? I’d also like your opinion, should I come back to this post and add the prayer requests to the body so you won’t have to scroll when you have a little extra time and want to say a quick prayer, talk to God or Your Higher Being?
I’ll kick us off:
Head Peanut Connie: I need some prayers. I can’t seem to kick this sadness. I just want to start feeling like ME again. Maybe it’s just the Idaho winter blues, but I miss me.
Sonya at Sonya Happenings would like to request prayers for Gracie, that her eyes will be open soon.
Diane could use our prayers.
Mami2jcn could use our prayers.
Shannon could use our prayers.
Leela could use our prayers.
Tamra could use our prayers.

I like this idea, Connie. I don’t believe there is a god but I do know that when a group of people get together they can move mountains. That’s why I enjoy my daily check-in with you; it’s a bit like group therapy, knowing that you’re not alone xxx
Connie Gruning
Kate, It is great therapy!! THANK YOU Kate, you made my day!

I’m so glad you have this site. I need prayer so much, especially in the winter. I have been diagnosed with severe depression. I am working hard to overcome it and with medication, it seems to be helping a lot. To be honest that is why I dropped off here for quite a while. I am glad to be back one here.
Connie Gruning
Diane, I was truly thankful and excited to have you back!!!! After starting the Prayer group, I wanted help with depression and Monday and Tuesday God sent me SUNSHINE and I got off the mountain!! I was able to go visit with my girl friend. Laugh and knit and I came home feeling so much better. Prayer works!

Great idea… When I go to mass every Sunday I will light a candle for one person on the prayer list…We all need help…
Connie Gruning
Michele, you are AWESOME!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!! We all thank you!!
Sonya Cocherell
Oh, you all have it going on over here!
I will definitely be praying for each and every one of you. Thank you, Connie, for joining in on this Sunday Prayer Requests. I hope my group grabs onto as well as yours. Thank you for any and all prayers for my daughter, Gracie, that Connie mentioned above.
Connie Gruning
Sonya, this group is a FANTASTIC group!
Shannon Holmes
I am not sure if prayer works but I also believe in God/a higher power. I would like to feel less depressed and for everyone to be happier.
Connie Gruning
Shannon, That is a great request. I’ll add you to the list.
Leela
I love this idea. I will pray for all those that request it.
I have had a very hard time after dealing with cancer. Surgeries, scans, radiation, etc while fairly young with a large family. I have a husband and eight children.
They removed my thyroid and put me on thyroid meds that make me feel 1000 times worse. They can never get my doses right and have messed me up by putting me on doses that are too high. I have all the worst side effects and I think I might have had a stroke from it because my left side has been messed up ever since. Trying to find a dr that doesn’t outright dismiss me (They did the same thing for years when I knew I had cancer as well), has been so difficult. I would appreciate some prayers on finding a good dr that can help put me on the right med combo that will help me feel normal again without feeling like I’m going to drop dead on a daily basis.

Leela, {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}} I just want to hug you. I will definitely add you to our prayer list.

I like the idea. I don’t know if prayer works, but I do believe in God, though, like you, I’m not a church goer. I know a lot of people prayed for me when I was ill. I survived an illness that a lot of people don’t survive. And I do know Sonya’s blog. Been there many times.
So, I’ll add a request: I can always use prayers (or good vibes sent out into the Universe, if prayer isn’t your thing, lol) for my physical therapy to go well, that I continue to increase my walking distances, and GET HOME SOON!
Connie Gruning
Tamra, you are always in my prayers! YOU are a strong woman. You’ll be home soon. I feel it!!!
mami2jcn
I love the idea! Another blog I follow, Simply Clarke, has prayer request Sundays. Each Sunday you type one word asking others to pray for you…words such as “Family”, “Health”, “Finances”, etc. When you’ve prayed for someone, you click “like” on their comment. I look forward to it every Sunday evening.
Connie Gruning
Ohhhhhhh Mami I love that idea! I will go check Simply Clarke. Thank you!
Diane K. Brimmer
I think that it is an excellent idea. A place where we can pour our heart out and know that others may be going through the same struggles. A place where we won’t be judged and most of all God knows our heart and sincerity. I could honestly use prayer!
Connie Gruning
Diane, I’m so glad you think so too. So many of us struggle with BIG things and little things. I’ll add you to the list.
