From the first look at the movie poster, I knew I wanted to watch Fanie Fourie’s Lobola.  Fanie Fourie is one of the main characters played Eduan van Jaarsveldt. Lobola is a set amount paid by a prospective husband to the bride’s family among certain peoples in southern Africa. Fanie Fourie’s Lobola is a love story from South Africa, about two people with VERY different backgrounds! Cultures that couldn’t possibly be further apart!
