The Skin Regime Book, Peel and GIVEAWAY!!
This book The Skin Regime, appealed to me from the beginning, how many times have you heard me complain about aging, wrinkles and age spots! Within the first page I was hooked. Dana Ramos writes like you are sitting with her in the kitchen and she’s sharing her secrets with you. I love the way Dana writes! It’s very conversational. She made me laugh several times during the book. She made me stop and think a LOT!!
This is the 2nd edition of the best-selling Amazon book The Skin Regime; Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin features technical advice from a well-known dermatologist.
One huge bonus of this book is the untouched photo of Dana on the back cover of The Skin Regime. Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin.
Check out this shot. Dana is 52 in this picture!! That is a shot with no makeup! A little mascara and lip gloss, at 52!! I was SOLD right then and there!! That is the radiant skin I am striving for!!
The Skin Regime Book is an easy, fast read, jam-packed with great information. Dana wasn’t born with perfect skin, her skin woes match mine!! I truly feel like Dana is my friend and wants to help me have beautiful radiant skin!! Dana writes about her own skin struggles from acne to melasma.
There are tons of excellent tips, with the main points highlighted and reiterated over and over: SIMPLIFY!! You don’t need a complex beauty routine.
While the book is awesome. My favorite truly is the glycolic acid peel. Begin by watching your face with a nubby washcloth, I found a pack of 18 at Walmart for $4 those are my official ‘Peel’ washcloths. Use alcohol or witch hazel on a cotton square to remove all the oils. After the first peel I bought some latex gloves, because my fingers were getting a peel. The 1-4-All peel is layer-able, mild to strong depending on how many layers are applied. One swipe over your entire face, wait a full minute, if you aren’t experiencing any tingling or pain, you can do another round up to 4 layers.
Wait NO MORE than 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and wash with a mild soap. My skin felt great afterwards. Very firm and tight. I truly love the way my skin looks and feels after a peel. I do it in the morning, so I look rested and awake all day. The Skin Regime even has a chapter on maintaining your newly regenerated skin at home after the regime has been completed!
I learned so much in Dana’s, she is brilliant in deciphering the mysteries of skincare. This book is an invaluable source of knowledge! I am determined to reverse the effects of sun damage and of course, fight every sign of aging I can!!
WOW!! I had no idea I could do a peel at home that would ACTUALLY WORK!!!!!
Now, one very lucky Peanut Butter and Whine follower will win their own copy of Skin Regime Book, Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin AND 4-1 Glycolic Acid Peel!! You will be THRILLED!!! Good LUCK!!!
I’m Refreshing My Blog (and Bust Ghosts)
Updating old blog content is a bit like digital archaeology: you head in to dust the archives and end up unearthing questionable life choices from years ago. Between the over-filtered photos and advice that’s aged like room-temperature milk, the past can be… loud.
The Ghost in the Machine: Lately, I’ve been dealing with a resident spirit: The Ghost of Peanut Butter and Whine. This digital poltergeist has been causing chaos behind the scenes:
- The Vanishing Act: Deleting images and leaving empty boxes where helpful tutorials used to be.
- The Link Graveyard: Sneakily swapping my trusted brand partners for sketchy “AI Crypto” links.
- Font Sabotage: Reverting my modern, clean text back to “Geocities-era” antique fonts.
The 2026 Refresh Plan: I’m giving my archives a facelift to keep my blog traffic climbing and my readers happy. Here’s my step-by-step exorcism:
- Exorcise 404s: Running a broken link checker to find and fix every dead end.
- Modernize the Recommendations: Swapping outdated 2019 products for my 2026 essentials.
- SEO Deep Clean: Updating metadata to ensure my focus keywords are in the headers and the introduction for maximum impact.
