Trail Cam Friday
As you know we have gotten a LOT of snow. Waist high on me! Taller than Bear! It’s stunning but it’s COLD!! The trail cam captured some great action shots, like falling snow.
Starting with my two favorite shots. One when the tree dropped all the snow. Second when the smaller deer tells the other “LOOK over there!! It’s ELVIS!!”
Last week, I accidentally reset the calendar. So these pictures started on the 9th and stopped on the 15th. Technology when it’s cold outside is NOT my friend.
These next few are from a second trail cam
Okay trudging back to the trail cam. Hopefully, not to be dumped on with snow… mostly because there is no stick in the camera and it would be a wasted funny picture! Back, safe and sound. But it is gorgeous outside right now.

I never ever get tired of seeing your wonderful pictures. I so love the wildlife and the snow looks magical.

I can vividly remember the first time I saw a wild deer. Hill walking way up in the Wicklow Mountains and then … nobody move!
Connie Gruning
Kate, so true!! NO ONE MOVE!! Did you ever notice how good the deer’s vision is?? I even step to the window and they FREEZE! Touchy little guys.

This just not fair! Now I want a trail cam. Of course I wouldn’t have the participants that you have but nun the less, I would get a kick out of it. We are out in the open and there is not much protection for them here. We have deer, turkeys and bear but they prefer more areas of foliage. I am really gladI get to enjoy your phtos of them. Thanks for sharing and I mean that!
Connie Gruning
Diane, I moved the trail cam to the front? Back? Ahhhh the other end of the house from where it was. Thank YOU!!

It is so awesome how you can really capture the beauty of the outdoors. Each picture has a unique subject to it and tell it’s own story without a word. You really have a talent!
Connie Gruning
Diane, thank you for that!! I can’t wait to see what I get this week. I moved the trail cam. I’m so excited to see! I may peek tomorrow.
Rosie
Is there such thing as a treevalance? When an avalanche falls from a tree? And lucky you, Elvis! So many cute shots! It is hard to have a bad picture!
Connie Gruning
Rosie, that’s a great description a treevalance. When that snow comes down it’s a WHOOSH. We have a metal roof; the first snow put a thin layer, then it rained and froze then it REALLY, REALLY snowed and all day today big chunks have fallen off with a BOOM!! Tonight I was almost certain that the roof caved in. It didn’t ……. but the house sure shook.
Nancy
These are fabulous photos. My favorite is the first one with all the snow dropping.
Connie Gruning
Nancy, I am so impressed that the trail cam caught that. It’s SO COOL!!! I see a canvas or two in my future!
Dana Rodriguez
You got some great photos. I have never seen snow like that except on tv. That tree photo is like WHOA :O
Connie Gruning
Dana, I am always in awe of the pictures I get from my house or my yard! That TREE though!!!!! Those came out so COOL!!!! You should hear the noise it makes when that snow hits the ground. WOOOWWWW (THANK YOU!! for the compliments!)
Tamra Phelps
I’m trying to figure out that shot of the deer that’s so much fatter than the others. What’s up with that one?? Pregnant?
Connie Gruning
Tamra, we have a ton of preggo’s out there. Which explains when the bucks are hanging around so diligently.. Nasty boys!
Diane K. Brimmer
Oh my gosh that is just so awesome tocatch that shot at just the right time. Oh and Elvis pointing out ” Hey man, did you see that! Becareful around here!” I see the turkeys are there to gooble up the seed too. Sorry for the pun, I just can’t help myself.
Connie Gruning
Diane, It’s so funny all the animals get a long so well. UNTIL the bear (not the dog) but the real bear get’s close and they FLY away I mean they run and jump and are gone within a blink of the eye.
