Why Choosing Life Insurance Will Leave a Lasting Legacy for Your Family

Every life is precious, but sometimes, without notice, that life can abruptly end. Not only do loved ones grieve your loss, but they get left with sorting out your finances, packing up your home, and taking care of other loose ends. If they are short on money and were depending on you for income, this makes losing you all the more difficult. They have to figure out a way to make money so they can provide for your children and other loved ones.

There’s one thing you can do now to help your family in the future, no matter what age you pass away: invest in whole life insurance. After all, Life insurance is ideal for all of your loved ones such as your husband, children, mother, father, and siblings. These are the people who you hold dear and likely spend the most time with, regularly. Since your family supports and loves you every day, don’t you want to protect them in return?

If you’d like to explore whole life insurance options, the first thing you should do is get instant whole life insurance quotes. Whether you select a permanent life policy or select a certain term, here are the benefits of life insurance:

Help with household needs

If you’re a stay-at-home mom, then you understand how much it can cost to buy weekly household goods. You need cleaning supplies, groceries, toiletries, and other accessories that the kids may need. Life insurance can help pay for important household items and, also, can help with transportation, childcare, and household maintenance.  This makes life insurance invaluable because you’re insuring your loved ones.

Provide loved one’s income

Obviously, if you were to die, life insurance can’t replace you; however, it can replace your income. Life insurance covers the cost of funeral expenses, debts, and also helps with day-to-day expenses. Your family won’t have to worry about clothing, housing expenses, and food. Think of the future as well. Life insurance comes in handy if your children want to go to college, and it can also help with their retirement someday.

Supply special benefits that you can use

Life insurance just doesn’t help your family if you were to pass away; it also helps you while you’re alive. Certain benefits you can use during your lifetime include helping you buying a home, paying for a daughter’s wedding, and assisting with educational expenses. Usually, these type of services only come with whole life insurance, so be sure to inquire what life insurance is the best fit for you.

Also, as you pay the premiums of your whole life policy, the value of your life insurance will increase, and you can access the money. Keep in mind, though, that you access a whole life insurance policy through policy loans that accrue interest. However, loans will decrease the death benefit and improve the cash value.

Leave a lasting legacy

Create a financial legacy for your children, family and loved ones. A whole life insurance policy can help you create a financial legacy that will in turn fund your future. Think of the things you can do such as starting a scholarship program or even supporting a life-changing nonprofit organization. It’s all up to you!

Agreed- life insurance is so important! Huntley Wealth just developed a“Buy term (and invest the rest) vs. whole life” calculator”. It calculates term and whole life premiums to show the difference over 10, 20 and 30 years from an investment standpoint. The ultimate message is “buy term and invest the rest” is the better deal 95% of the time. I still find it hard to believe that 63.7% of people still opt for whole life and would love to hear what your thoughts are about this. Would you mind if I sent you a link to the calculator?

    Thanks!

this is so true. it also helps if in the unfortunate case both you and your significant other perish. The policy payout will help to take care of your children’s needs without burdening their then guardians. That and being a one income family is why we invested in life insurance.

It’s an important topic that everyone wants to just ignore. Whether you discuss it with your family or not, it needs to be done. If nothing else, do it on your own & leave details with a lawyer.
