Major challenges, be that recovery from health issues or dealing with emotions, often need future goals to be put in place to help you overcome them. The key is to have success in the challenge you face is to dissect the situation and set yourself goals to overcome it. This might be a milestone to hit when it comes to health, it might be stepping out of your comfort zones to overcome a fear or disability. Setting goals helps you to strategize the way you will move forward with your life. 

Consider your mindset

Your mindset plays a big role when it comes to overcoming challenges. You are faced with making a choice, that choice is to be positive or to be negative, and the latter can often have detrimental effects on moving forward. Often not enabling you to do so as you can become consumed by your thoughts. A positive mindset can uplift you and give you the courage to succeed. You have the belief that everything will be okay, and that you can overcome whatever obstacle you may face. It’s hard to change a thinking habit, but once you do, that in itself can be life changing. 

Take action when needed

There may be times that you are subject to being involved in an accident that wasn’t your fault. It can happen on the road, while you are walking the street or even at work. You need to ensure that you don’t let these situations overcome you, especially if those accidents were not your fault.     You definitely should consider alternative medicines and therapies. I’m wondering if acupuncture might help my nerve damage/numbness that’s still lingering from the sepsis. I think I’m going to try and find someone around here who does it.

    I’m starting a new phase in trying to overcome my life changing events, lol. I managed to get out of physical therapy and that nursing home, but being home is really just a new phase not an ending. Now, I need to think this next step through and set goals for here, like deciding what I need to do to get around better, maybe get to a point where I can eventually do without the wheelchair and just use the walker, then, someday, just a cane.
