• What can I say??

I’m a giver.  Yup yup, I am ever the helpful, loving wife.  As such, I offered my services to DH, rather than drive all the way down to Scripps La Jolla Hospital tomorrow for DH’s appointment for his heart ‘reset’  (the technical boring term is defibrillation of the heart  This procedure is supposed to put DH’s heart back into normal sinus rhythm).  Now, back to me being the helpful loving wife, I offered to use the battery cables in the garage and reset his rhythm at home. DH respectfully declined (GGGHHAAAAA….where is his sense of adventure??  Where’s the TRUST!??!). so tomorrow we will let the “professionals” do it. (Still, It’s called ‘practicing medicine’ how professional could they be??? Except the whole million years in school thing? And degree’s and all that stuff) STILL… I COULD do it, if he’d let me! TONS cheaper too! Now off to remind DH tomorrow, “when they stop your heart before they restart it… don’t walk toward the light!!  REALLY cause you are NOT even close to done with your Honey Do list!! Updating My SEO Because Even the Internet Needs a Good Declutter If you’ve been poking around peanutbutterandwhine.com lately and thought, “Huh, something feels different,” congratulations. Your…

  • Wear your SEAT BELT!!!

This just made me cry.  So of course I have to share… I cry we ALL have to CRY!!! Updating My SEO Because Even the Internet Needs a Good Declutter If you’ve been poking around peanutbutterandwhine.com lately and thought, “Huh, something feels different,” congratulations. Your instincts are sharp and possibly paranormal. I’m deep in the process of updating my SEO. Not the glamorous kind of update where confetti falls and Google personally thanks me, but the gritty, behind-the-scenes kind where old posts get dusted off, links get refreshed, and keywords are gently coaxed into behaving better. Think less makeover montage, more haunted house cleanup. While revisiting early posts, I discovered something unsettling. Many of the original photos and videos have completely vanished. Not broken links. Not corrupted files. Gone. Poof. Into the digital ether. This can only confirm one thing: peanutbutterandwhine.com is haunted. There is no other explanation. Sure, it could be old hosting changes, platform migrations, or me being wildly optimistic about my organizational skills a decade ago. But let’s be honest. It’s ghosts. Internet ghosts. Possibly annoyed by my early font choices. So here I am, updating old posts with new images, clearer formatting, better internal linking, and…

  • I’d like to buy a clue!

Sewing is NOT like riding a bike!!  It doesn’t just magically ‘come back’ how to whip stuff up. (at least it isn’t for me!)  But, being on house arrest since DH got all dramatic with his heart… I got it in my head I will start sewing again. (I think I use to enjoy it)  I use to be really creative, I think I even made some cute things. Soooo… I pick the perfect babyshower gift to make.  Today, I’m ready to get this party started! Material pieces cut out. Markings marked. Read step one…. ummm humm… read step one again…. read again…. (look in envelope is there a page missing?) Picked up material, turned it in my hands a few times … read instructions for step one again… Went and made lunch. Cleaned glasses.  Had another cup of coffee. Sat at machine again. Read about step one again.  Verified I HAVE the correct piece associated with step one.  I can read the words… I have NO IDEA what they want me to do!!!  Screaming “DO WHAT!??!” to the instructions over and over irritates the dog and worries DH, both who know I’m alone in my craft room.  Great now I have an audience in the hallway witnessing the insanity…. that was…
