The Life and Times of Birdie Mae Hayes; The Gift
Alice and I are getting ready for The NaNa to make the big move to Idaho by reading a book together. Alice get’s tucked into bed at night then calls me on Facetime. Our first book? Birdie Mae Hayes The Gift. What a super cute book!! Birdie Mae Hayes lives down the street from her best friend Sally Rose Hope. Life is just about perfect in her small Alabama town. Her parents, operate the only grocery store in town. Birdies life is pretty sweet, even though her little brother Bubba drives her crazy (like all little brothers do). When a new family; The Doolittle’s move in just down the street things get interesting. Mr. Doolittle is opening a rival grocery store in town. The Doolittle’s have a son the same age as Birdie and Sally; Doyle. Is this the reason that Birdie can’t stop feeling like something is about to happen?? Probably not!! Birdie starts seeing things happen-before they actually happen!!! The Gift; is one that is actually turns out to be handed down to the women in the family. Grandma Mae has the same ability!! She can see things before they happen too! (what a great NaNa and Alice book right?!?!) WHINES Alice…

Hello Sunday!
Oh Hello Sunday to all my Peanuts! Just in case you don’t follow me on Instagram I thought I would share some pictures I posted last week. First, this is the original picture of the master-bedroom. We decided that we weren’t too crazy about the green color. The Husband worked his tush off to paint it a soft mocha color. Whadda ya think?? The Husband also stained the doors that lead to the deck; in a deep walnut color. Then there is the master bathroom. Ummmmmmm…… I’m kinda speechless. It’s REALLY GREEN and REALLY Purple. I am not sure how to fix this one…… it’s purple and green….. AND CARPETED!! On the upside that’s a Jacuzzi tub!! Can’t you see candles, glass of whine and ahhhhhhhhh!! Relaxation. Okay, I have to add a deer picture too….. because……. ahhhhhhhhh soooooo cute!!! He’s all snuggled down in the snow ready for a nap. Yes, this remodeling will take us YEARS!

Any parent of twins (or indeed just two small children of similar ages) will know that once they discover jealousy and begin to snatch at whatever the other has, your days of buying one of anything for the next decade are gone. Children seem to have an instinctive aversion to sharing, and sibling rivalry intensifies this to explosive levels. I have a few ideas for buying gifts for twins, just read on. To ease the stresses of gifting, we’ve put together this list to lend a helping hand to parents or friends and family of identical tykes. Read on if you just want to give gifts that inspire peaceful playtime, so you can enjoy a relaxing birthday/Christmas/occasion, minus tears and tantrums over who should have the coveted blue dress over the ‘horrible’ yellow one… Stuffed Animals An obvious but fail-safe and cute gift. Find out the kids’ favorite animal (bunnies and puppies are always good) or go for a classic teddy. Get them in fluffy or toweling material, and for an extra touch, get them initialed for each twin’s name. Alternatively, give the animals name tags so that the twins can name their toy themselves. Don’t forget stuffed animals that…
