VonShef Premium Vacuum Food Saver and Sealer System Review
As most of you that follow my blog know; I’m getting things ready for yearly trek to Yosemite for a week of tent camping. One of the most important things FOOD!! I am thrilled with my newest kitchen accessory! Check it out! The VonShef Premium Vacuum Food Saver and Sealer System
DH and I have been vacuum sealing like crazy. Leftovers, veggies, you can even just use the seal function and seal that open bag of potato chips!! No more stale chips!
It did take a couple of tries to get this down pat. The biggest thing we learned is to BE SURE TO close the top correctly! Push on both the left and right side until you hear the click.
Next, the bag size. Be sure to give yourself 2″ between the bag and the food for a perfect seal! This is really important.
Next take your time; it doesn’t really take a long time. I promise.
I also received a box of VonShef bags that are ready to use. OR you can cut them in half for smaller portions or leftovers. I prefer to leave the bag large so if I can cut off the top and reseal if we don’t eat everything in the bag.
I love the size of this device! It is easy to store away. It doesn’t take any space on the counter when it’s out. 13″ long, 6″ wide and 3″ tall.
How To Use
Cut your bag to the size you want, don’t forget to give yourself that extra 2 to 3 inches for a proper seal. Make sure you click both ends of the lid down on the bag. You’re off and running.

I think using vacuum sealer is one of the best effective way .I have FoodSaver V4440 2-in-1 Automatic Vacuum Sealing System . I have had this machine for a couple weeks now. It came with some starter bags and a roll. I have ordered no-name brand rolls but they haven’t arrived yet but the foodsaver brand stuff they sent me seals really well. Even my skeptical husband is now impressed. I bought the can sealing attachment which also works great. My morning smoothies are so much better with out frost bite, and I can buy my spinach and kale in bulk when it’s on sale. Bought bacon in bulk when it was on sale and portioned it out, I’ve never seen my husband so happy.

I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately – I’m not particularly concerned about calories or fat, but I feel bad eating so much processed food – but I’m so tired when I get home from work that I never feel like standing at the stove for half an hour and making something. Thanks for this great and informational post . I believe that A vacuum food sealer extends the life of your food by about 5 times by vacuuming out the oxygen, and sealing the food in safely. Oxygen is what causes spoiling of the food, so by blocking it out you protect your food from spoiling. So I: have vacuum sealer and I love it . It is very useful and has great helper to me at the ktchen .
