5 Great Items to Eat This Fall
Here is my list of five great items to eat this fall. Especially from my local farmers market.
Change Up The Veggies to Eat This Fall
1.) Change up your vegetables this fall season in a manner that you will take it on a seasonal level. If you have a crispy, refreshing taste, eat the vegetables that are in season, such as Brussels sprouts, apples, peaches and apple sauce. In the section of Farmers Market Products, you will be looking for autumn fruits and vegetables with the best taste and value for money for the season. Seasonal vegetables and fruits are cheaper and fresher while in season. Melons can be seasonal or out of season depending on where you live, as can tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, beans, peas, pumpkin, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes and much more.
Pears
2.) Pears are also in season and very low in calories, sweeter than a juicy apple and have only 58 calories per 100 grams. They are full of fiber and therefore a great source of protein, fiber which is rich in vitamins and minerals. If you love apples, eat a pear instead. It is far more nutrition than an apple. This autumn food contains a few servings of it, you don’t need more to cover your daily vitamin C needs. Pears should be considered a nutrient – a dense food, as they are rich in nutritious vitamins and minerals, but low in calories and easy to eat. Spread the love for pears.
Butternut Squash
3.) Butternut squash is the perfect fruit if you like pumpkins but want to try something different. There are a number of types of pumpkin that you can include in your list of fall season foods to try. From the roasted seeds to the pulp that makes pumpkin smoothies so powerful, pumpkin is one of the best health factors – and boosts fat burning. Roast the seeds with lemon pepper for a healthier snack. Try different seasoning depending on your tongue palate. Another things that has been popular of late is butternut squash pasta. It’s a fresh, healthier option to traditional pasta with no carbs. Great if you want to eat fewer carbs or on a keto diet.
There’s various other types of squash if you don’t like pumpkins squash. They are great seasonal item that can be cooked in various ways. One can bake or roast it and add some seasoning to it.
Dinners
4.) Change up your dinners this fall with an order of Freshly meal delivery service. It’s pre-made meals that are cooked to perfection just for your and your family. Each portion is created by a chef, various different type of dishes are available depending on your taste and affordable for your family. Most importantly, it eliminates the need to cook on a busy day during the week.
Snacks
5.) One of my favorite autumn snacks is almond butter and apple slices as its real healthy and delicious. It’s much healthier than chips cookies or ice cream. You could add some coconut flakes or a splash of honey to give it some more rich flavor.

I so love pears and the area where we live is famous for them every fall season. I also love butternu squash so yummy with brown sugar and butter on it.

I only buy fruit & veg if it’s locally grown and in season. Buying e.g. mange tout grown in Kenya makes no sense at all when the planet’s on fire.

I love peaches but the little hairs bring me out in a rash so I stew them or make smoothies.

I love anything that is apple related. I also love peaches and pretty much any fresh veggie!

It is hard to believe fall is around the corner, but enjoying fall produce is a big plus! I adore butternut squash, I like making it in the slow cooker. Sometimes I’ve put it in whole, other times, cut it in half and scoop out the middle. I love when it is cool enough to be baking again.

I do like apples, but not pears. I tend to not like Fall vegetables, lol, like pumpkin or squash. I guess, when Fall comes around, I turn into a chili or soup person, lol.

Yesssss all the pears. We make pear sauce, poached pears, pear tart, and just eat them plain!
