A to Z April Challenge Letter U
Ugly Angel. My family is….. well, odd. We truly have so MUCH fun!! We absolutely adore validation!! I will send my kids presents that I have named “Box-O-Crap” I will put an assortment of crap inside usually I will include one ‘nice’ thing. I will put in a paper clip, a store receipt, a bottle top, a rock I will literally FILL to the BRIM box with……. crap. I will continue to send “Box-O-Crap” until I get my VALIDATION!!
We crave it in our family.
Meet Ugly Angel:
Ugly Angel was a gift left in a friends home. Ugly Angel then mysteriously arrived back hidden in Selena’s house. Back and forth went UA. Once given wrapped inside a Christmas gift. Once she was mailed from a friend of a friend of a friend in a state we have no relations or friends. Back and forth until one trip she arrived back with a broken wing. Ahhhhh attach a wing cut from a Styrofoam plate and hide her again. Back and forth UA went… and tragically she lost an arm. Ahhh attach a porcelain arm that is 3 times her size and hide her again. Just give us VALIDATION and this madness can stop!!
Poor UA is now MIA. So if you see her….. we’d like validation that you found her. Please. No validation? Fine … when we get her back you’ll just find her hidden somewhere in your home.
U is for Ugly Angel.
A to Z Challenge: Blog everyday except Sunday (per the rules) with my theme being what makes me happy, what inspires me and what makes me ME!!! So be prepared for more information about me than you ever wanted to know!!

Poor little angel she needs some love and care. I will get my glue gun out and help! LOL That is a very funny story about your family. My Aunt had to have her breasts removed and she had purchased a set of boobs. Later in life two of her 3 granddaughters ended up having the same surgery. The oldest remembered keeping grandma’s boobs. So she dug them out of the closet and mailed them to her sister Lisa, on her birthday. LOL! So talk about quirkiness.

This is so funny . In a way a book of stuff can bring memories good or bad. Something to explore I guess – than pass on . I think alot of us have this thing we pass around
this poor angel needs to be fixed – no angel is truly ugly
Rowena
Hi commie, I can see why you call her ugly angel! If I find her, I will give her back straightaway don’t worry 🙂
Ruby Wilbur
I love this. Hope she comes back to you someday.
My grandmother once gave me an ugly clock with no hands…should have sent it to my sister!

My granny used to send me a box-o-crap for Christmas. There were always some horrible things and some things that were actually quite nice, usually found at flea markets. Those were some of my favorite presents to get as a child. I still remember them, and that says a lot as I don’t remember many of my childhood Christmas presents. I also love your Ugly Angel story. I once read of a mom and doing this with an old ugly yellow shirt. It was a remarkable story. I love the idea of Ugly Angel. I just need someone to send me my own “ugly” something so I can send it back. Ahem…Mom, are you reading? Jennifer a.k.a Urban Gypsy Girl

That is the scariest looking angel. So hilarious. My family has a “sticky lizard” that we found somewhere along the way and we slip it into relatives suitcases and the back of cars and it made it’s way across the ocean a couple times too. I love quirky family fun.
P.S. Thanks for your comment on my blog as well!

That thing is hideous, but loveable from it’s twisted history.

We use to have a scary santa claus that would go back and forth between our houses! He’s MIA too!

She is ugly. I will agree with that. 🙂 Every family has their little quirks.

Can never judge a book by its cover, she might be a good luck angel! Cute blog.
Chris
Yes, yes, poor UA. She’s really absolutely lovely if you look at her sort of squinty-eyed. 😉
Brilliant story, and good luck to the end!

Poor Ugly Angel. She has been around the world and back and bears the scars to prove it. 🙂

hahahaha this made me snort, sounds a bit like my family. but UA seriously creeps me out, I am scared of dolls and she sort of mutated into an even creepier thing than she must have been at the start

That’s a brilliant little anecdote. That is one ugly angel!
