Time To Move? Or Just Time To Redecorate!?
That’s a great question is it time to redecorate or just move?? When was the last time you thought about updating your living space? Me? I think about it all the time! I love daydreaming about a new house. A house with windows! Lots of windows! Lots and lots of light.
NOT My Dream
Now, if The Husband has his way I will be decorating a new house in Wyoming or Idaho?! From California?! It’s COLD in Wyoming and Idaho!!! It SNOWS there!! YES! I know I’m yelling!! But I’m warm here, IN California! I’m barefoot 392 days a year. I don’t want to be cold!! Sorry, I got a little side-tracked there for a minute. But, SNOW!??

WELL THAT bit me in the arse. Because now I DO live in Sandpoint IDAHO!! WHERE IT SNOWS A LOT!! WHAT THE &@$$^@*&)(@&*# just happened??
Decorating
Let’s get back to decorating. THE only reason a move sounds good to me is the fact I can decorate with brand new EMFURN furniture! I don’t have to have the kids in mind. My kids are grown in homes of their own. I can finally decorate with only The Husband and my tastes (okay, that’s a lie; with MY tastes in mind). How ridiculously fantastic is that idea?!
So? What would I buy? I would stick with the rustic look because that really appeals to me.
This medium oak, rustic side table would make an amazing television stand for my brand new wide-screen television. Sure it’s meant to be a dining room sideboard but I love using pieces of furniture for things other than what they were intended for.
This table NEEDS to be in my entry way. I need a place for the bowl that my daughter made in 6th grade, it holds our car keys. This table is perfect! SO pretty!!
Above this table I MUST have the following canvas! If I live in the snow I would need a reminder to go outside. Right? You know, in the cold!?
I am absolutely certain that I need the light to hang over the dining room table. Have you ever seen a more unique fixture? Modern and rustic all at the same time! It really makes a statement don’t you think? Appropriately named the Da Vinci Ceiling Fixture.
Okay, I really have to stop shopping now or I’m going to wake up living on a farm in Wyoming with my new light fixture, side table and canvas!

What about you? If you could start over with your décor would you take a 180 from how you decorate now? Or would you just spruce up what you currently own now? What furniture appeals to you?
What about moving? If you could move anywhere in the world. Where would you go? Or are you a bloom where you are planted person?
Again the furniture from EMFURN is stunning. Not 100% sure it will make me want to live in the snow…. but it is very tempting.

We made a major move in 1999… 40 foot container kind of move…I got a chance to design my own home and I loved it…would I do it again NEVER but redecorate is something that I would love to do….

We moved a lot (like 10 times in 15 years) when younger & I hated it. There were tears and tantrums as they had to drag me out screaming and hanging on to the leg of the dining room table!

If I could move to anywhere in the world it would be the UK or Thailand! I don’t have a specific reason why though, haha 😉

Wyoming has some beautiful places that I’ve enjoyed visiting, but I wouldn’t move there. I don’t want to move anywhere else. I like my house and my life and the sunshine in Colorado.

While I’d love to live in Greece or Scotland, I hate the actual act of moving, lol. Every time we move, I swear something just never quite makes the move. Last time it was a big box full of almost all of our sheets & towels! I picture some one opening a box on the side of I-75 in KY & wondering why someone tossed all their sheets & towels.
