CleanTalk…… What’s That Mean??
Y’all got dirty minds! Nooooo it’s not the opposite of talk dirty to me. For SHAME!!! AND in the words of my friend Miss Barbara “Tsk, Tsk, Tsk”
People are SO sneaky, like really sneaky. It’s just getting worse and worse. That’s what makes cyber security so important.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed lately but the amount of spam comments on Peanut Butter and Whine has gone WAY, WAY, WAY, (all gone), down. That’s all thanks to CleanTalk an anti-spam plug-in that has helped my site SO MUCH.

Check this out! My little blog is really popular with the bad guys in just this month CleanTalk has blocked 11,590 spam attacks. I mean HELLO!?! That’s insane. The Russian Federation attacked PBnWhine the most. HEY NOW!!! WhadIDO?! Thank you CleanTalk for protecting Peanut Butter and Whine, me and the Little Peanuts appreciate you.
What’s It Cost?
Cost is very reasonable at $12 a year. The peace of mind is priceless.
You’re probably wondering why are spam comments bad? For the most part spammers leave a comment with a link back to their own websites, so they can rank higher in the search results and get more traffic. For the most part, spammers aren’t targeting ME specifically to leave spam comments, they are buying thousands of spam comments at one time, then those comments are automatically sent out on their behalf. Pretty sneaky huh?? So, what’s the harm? Well, sometimes these comments are linked back to some really shady sites. And sometimes to some really nasty sites.
So, I am not taking any chances. I’m using CleanTalk.
I’ve been with them for quite a while now and I’m impressed. Easy to upload the plug in to your site. There is even a spam counters that show up on my writing screen. Since March 4th there have already been 245 spam comments deleted. I’m so popular!!
So, that’s my blog tip of the day of the year!

Thanks for sharing this post. I get so much spam too and some of the subject lines are appalling and offensive to me when I read them. This sounds like something I will check into and that price is great!

Sounds very worth it to me!! I have noticed in the past that when I go to comment on an older post there would be all kinds of crazy spam comments, lol. Some of them were filthy, lol. I mean links to those ‘tsk, tsk, tsk’. sites. Hmm. Now that you mention it, I haven’t been seeing them lately.
