• The Iron Duke by L Ron Hubbard

I’m sad, this is my last L.Ron Hubbard book on cd to review.  I have really enjoyed listening to these tremendous books. As much as I enjoyed Hubbards Battlefield Earth. These books are fully recreated stories with all the sound effects and the multi-cast reading.  These cd’s are truly like listening to a Broadway play. The Iron Duke may be my favorite yet.  This story has everything!! Blacky Lee is man’s man (ahhh ladies man too!).  There is a whiny little sidekick named Stubs. The story is a love story. A story with lots of adventure and intrigue. Suspense and humor. I picture Blacky Lee with the good looks of…

  • L. Ron Hubbard’s "On Blazing Wings"

    L. Ron Hubbard really is a timeless writer. You would never know that On Blazing Wings was written in the 1930’s. The CD’s are acted out. Sound effects are truly television for the mind. You hear the story in detail. The Stories from The Golden Age are multi- cast performances. This YouTube clip gives you a true ‘look’ is what I am listening too.  Action! Romance! Suspense!  L. Ron Hubbard included it all in the pulp fiction book “On Blazing Wings”. David Duane, artist, adventurer and air ace, discovers his destiny awaiting him inside a mystery-shrouded Finnish city of golden minarets. As Duane bravely confronts and challenges his fate, the action swirls to an explosive…

  • Spy Killer by L.Ron Hubbard

    L. Ron Hubbard has to be the most prolific writer of the pulp fiction era! He can spin a tale that is enjoyed even now. So descriptive and so entertaining.  Having these stories read on cd is even more entertaining! These cd’s are full amazing sound effects. Water, paper wrestling, foot steps and engaging music and multiple cast readings make this book 100% entertainment.  Today’s review is about Spy Killer from the Tales from The Orient collection. L. Ron Hubbard may have made his name by founding The Church of Scientology. But, before the Church was founded Hubbard wrote Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is a term used to describe the low quality paper…

  • Death Waits at Sundown L. Ron Hubbard

L.Ron Hubbard master storyteller! Truly L. Ron Hubbard has written timeless stories. I have been listening to the Golden Age Stories and I’m enjoying each and everyone! Death Waits at Sundown is awesome! I love the music on this cd, it’s a mix of Bonanza and Dirty Dozen. Each of these cd’s is done in the old time radio style. All of the sound effects, birds in the background, feet shuffling, horses galloping all of it!! This video clip is very interesting.  Did you know where the term ‘Pulp Fiction’ came from?  Noooo it’s not a John Travolta movie.  It’s actually the type of paper that these fiction books were written on!! Death…
