Fun Activities To Keep Your Kids Entertained This Festive Season
As we head towards the festive season, it has many of us looking forward to some family time with our little ones. They will be breaking up from school and there will be a host of opportunities to spend some quality family time together. But it also means you want to find some fun things to do. Time to keep your kids entertained. With a couple of weeks off, there is plenty of time for you to do things that you can’t cram into a weekend and you want to ensure they are entertained. The last thing you want is them to feel bored and unhappy. Here we have put together some fun activities to keep your kids entertained this festive season.![]()
Do some baking
When it comes to finding something to do and keep your kids entertained this festive season, baking is one of the best things you can do. There are many things you can do with this, from creating festive treats to whipping up a mouthwatering banana cake recipe.
Think about the age your children are and how much they can help out with. You could try fridge cakes if you don’t want them using the oven, or just make sure you help them every step of the way. You could ask your little ones what they want to make and encourage them to have some ideas!
Have a craft day
Crafts are another fantastic thing that you can do with your kids when you want to keep them entertained. There are many things to do over the festive season such as making collages, cutting out snowflakes and making Christmas decorations. You could also do some painting, drawing or other arts and crafts. Pinterest is a great place to have a look for inspiration and you can find some easy and cheap things to do. Craft is great in that it doesn’t cost too much and you can have hours of fun and creativity.
Find a local festive event to head to
Another wonderful thing about the festive season is that there are a host of Christmas-related events to head to. Whether you want to take your children to meet Santa Claus, or go and find a festive event such as a Christmas market or fayre there are so many different choices. You could go carol singing or just have a tour of the local Christmas lights in your area to get in the spirit of the season. Be sure to keep an eye on local notice boards and events to find the best events near you that you can partake in.
These are just a few fun activities you can try this festive season to keep your kids entertained. It’s one of the most magical times of year and great to spend quality time together and make memories that will last a lifetime. Let’s Ask Google To Swing Around Here Again
Every so often I grab a giant digital dust rag and wander through PeanutButterAndWhine.com, polishing up my older posts like antique teacups at a yard sale. Updating old content isn’t just housekeeping, it’s pure SEO sparkle. Fresh keywords, tighter titles, faster images, better links. All the little tweaks that whisper sweet nothings to Google and say, “Hey… I’m still relevant.”
Search engines love fresh bread, not stale crumbs. So I’m rewriting, refreshing, and straightening the shelves so you can find recipes, reviews, crafts, and giveaways faster than a squirrel spotting peanuts. 🐿️

And since we’re sharing goodies… have you tried Freebie Flow yet? It’s basically a treasure chest of random freebies and wildly discounted finds. Use code PBNWhine10OFF for 10% off:

Also, please tell me you’re using Rakuten. Getting paid to shop feels delightfully rebellious, like cookies before dinner but financially responsible:

So if something looks shinier around here, that’s just me, updating old posts and giving the blog a fresh coat of internet glitter so it’s easier to find, faster to load, and way more fun to explore. ✨

The baking idea is a really good one this time of year. There’s always baking to be done at Christmas.

Extended holidays like this must be a nightmare for working parents, especially those with young kids. Imagaine adding the stress of finding extra daycare to all the other stresses.
