So, my monthly update starts with some exciting news! My baby girl turns FORTY on the 5th!! F-O-R-T-Y! People! I have a child that is FORTY!! That blows my mind!! How did that happen!? HOLY MOLY!! I do NOT feel old enough (or mature enough!) to have a child that old! I’m barely mature enough to BE forty!
My postcard MYSTERY is still a mystery and me telling you that they had stopped for a month prompted them to start-up again. As close as I can tell 3 postcards remain. Still to this day no one will fess up. My top suspects are Sherry, Dan, Selena and YES, it’s driving me bat sh*% crazy!! Again I say. Brilliant. Joke. Brilliant. I carry these friggin’ things in my purse which means the song pops into my head AGAIN. So I’m singing a song I hate almost daily. It’s making me nuts!!!! Tell me who it is!!!!!! NOW!! I demand it. I mean PLEASE tell me who sending these!! You’ve made me NUTS!!
Still working with my Cricut Machine. It’s so much FUN!! To celebrate Selena turning 40 the family is headed to Florida and Disney-world. Complete with matching t-shirts for all. (Yes, mostly in sparkle vinyl) All with Alice’s blessings.
Then of course we MUST have princesses!! Check out these designs.
We put that Cricut machine through its paces for this trip. A new designer t-shirt for everyday! My all time favorite though? Everyone has a t-shirt in their favorite color of this design! I can’t wait for a group shot to post for next month!

Thank you so much… It is gallbladder cancer spread to the liver.. Going to the hospital now…. I believe my husband is asking for a second opinion which of course I agree but I have not spoken to the doctor for the day as yet…..

There’s not a lot going on today. I soaked some pinto beans last night & now I’ve got them on the stove. Later I’ll make some cornbread…which would be a very traditional KY dinner, except for the fact that my nephews think cornbread needs to be sweet, lol. (Yeah, basically, cornbread CAKE, ha!) I keep telling them that cornbread shouldn’t be sweet! But, this is an age old battle in this part of the country. Do you put sugar in your cornbread or not is a question that has torn apart many families, lolol.

Today was really a little boring. There were some little irritations, like my brother’s phone went kaput for some unknown reason, so when he came to pick up Mom to take her to Lexington to see a doctor (just a follow-up visit), he borrowed my cell. I’m told my ringtone is really embarrassing, lol. Hey, it wakes me up…& that’s the main thing for me! My ringtone has to be loud & disruptive. If it rings, it wakes me up. (It sounds a little like electronic accordions, lolol.)

Today was just one long feeling of “I want to go back to bed.” I was up until about 3 a.m. waiting for my Mom to get back from the E.R. (My brother came over & drove her to the E.R. because she had a nose bleed. This happens often because her oxygen irritates her nose & it bleeds & won’t stop because she takes blood-thinner.) I waited up because I knew I’d have to unhook her portable oxygen–& it’s just impossible to go to bed when someone has gone to the E.R., even if you know they can fix it.

Got a bit accomplished today with my work and still had time to do a 30 minute jog. Easter is coming up and I know I’m gonna eat so I am trying to stay active so I don’t do to much damage.. LOL. 🙂

Well, my brother’s family just took off for Knoxville, TN, for my oldest nephews baseball tournament. They have a 3 hour drive ahead, but you know what? I have a weekend with no kid watching, lolol! (Actually, they’re good kids & no trouble at all. And Aunt Tammy is one of those horrible adults who will just let them play their tablets as long as they want & have popsicles for lunch, teehee!)

Got some more spring cleaning done. rearranging and cleaning the livingroom. I did a different workout video yesterday and I am soooo sore. I have been working out consistently for 5 years now and I am amazed that I can still get so sore….

We had bad storms last night. There was hail, lightning like crazy & a tornado warning. Yeesh. Today is chillier but at least it’s calmed down out there. Mom isn’t coughing like crazy, so that’s better. Seems the antibiotics helped. But her Congestive Heart Failure causes her to build up fluid every little bit, start coughing & as it gets worse it turns to bronchitis. She has an appointment with a specialist next week. Hopefully, he can get her on the right meds to keep this more in check.

Back to work today.. want to change the downstairs for Easter.. why I continue to change things for holidays and the seasons I will never know.. You would think that after years of doing this I would get bored but I don’t.. I love the holidays and the way the house looks different all the time…..

YAY Twitter finally unlocked my account about two hours ago. They apologized for the inconvenience. Apparently I was locked out by mistake by their automated system. But we’re all good now! As to why I wasn’t getting the verification code, who knows. Apparently there are a lot of people having trouble with not getting it.

Last night, after getting home at midnight I had some bills to pay online etc. but fell asleep at my desk and woke at 2am with a very sore neck! I got straight into bed and slept for 10 hours! I could quite happily go back for more but I’ve got to get ready for tonight’s show & pay those bills!

Well, it’s been busy, lol. Last night, Mom had to go to the ER–it happens every so often because she has Congestive Heart Failure & things come up. Her cough was getting worse. Turns out she had developed bronchitis. They kept her overnight, So, I was up until about 3 waiting until my brother let me know they were keeping her overnight, Then I was up early this morning because she needed some of her meds. They did let her come home tonight. So, she’s better. (Don’t tell on me, lol, cause I know how petty this is…but it is so irritating listening to constant coughing & you know, hoicking—I want to stick a sharp object in my own ears. I know…it’s even worse for her, doing the coughing. Hey, I said I feel petty!!! lol)

Great word that, hoicking! But I so know what you mean, and then comes the guilt for even thinking those thoughts about your own Mum. It’s hard sometimes, but at least she’s getting better now & it’ll be easier for you to get some sleep tonight!

one thing you can do to get some quiet is buy some ear muffs – I use the kind they use at gun shops it cuts out a huge amount of decibels, they vary and are quite inexpensive. You can wear them around the house for a few hours to get relief. You can find them on Amazon.

Ha! Hoicking was my Dad’s word from my childhood. He did it every morning…it was usually what woke me up. “Oh, Dad’s in the bathroom, means I have to get up in about 30 minutes.” (And yes, I feel so guilty for even thinking those thoughts! Oh, well, I reassure myself that it’s just normal to be grossed out by that stuff.)

My day was good but I am not too pleased with Twitter. Over 24 hours and i still haven’t received this verification code. I’ve been trying throughout the day and zip. I still haven’t heard back from their support team either on what to do to rectify this situation. 🙁

OK. The property manager came today and staved off a giant cave in with my ceiling the heavy rains and snow melting made a big problem. Now I have buckets and broken ceiling, but at least they caught it before it exploded.
