Kia Optima Hybrid EX Part 2!!

Yesterday I told you about the outside of the Kia Optima Ex. A sweet, QUIET ride!! Seriously, the quietest car I’ve ever driven! The inside of the Optima is 100% comfortable!
Get inside and the memory seat automatically adjusts for you. Turn the car off and the seat moves back to ensure you can get out easily. SWEET!!! Push button start. Once again, as long as the key fob is in the car the engine starts. I truly had to watch the instrument panel to see that the car was indeed on. It’s SO QUIET!!
I hope I don’t forget any of my favorite Optima perks, because there are SO MANY! Heated and COOLED front seats. As hot as it’s been in Southern California these cooled seats are a favorite.
This car would be amazing in the winter because it has a heated steering wheel! Awesome!

Another very cool feature is the parking brake. WAIT till you hear this!! See that first picture??  That LITTLE TINY button on top? THAT’s the parking brake!! WHAT?!?  Yup, another bonus is that when you put the car into gear the parking brake releases automatically. This is one very SMART CAR!!

Sunroof, actually TWO sunroofs. One for the backseat too. The backseat sunroof doesn’t open but, Alice loved having her own window UP THERE (ie, sunroof).

The seat is comfortable. This car would be perfect for a long trip, with the 8-Way Power-Adjustable Driver’s Seat.

The steering wheel is not only heated, but all the controls are on the steering wheel. Hands free phone, radio, cruise control. The steering wheel has a tilt and telescopic steering column.

There is a USB/Auxiliary Input Jack in the center console.

Cool

There are air vents in the backseat which is awesome, especially in the hot summer! My Honda CRV doesn’t have vents in the back and it gets HOT in the backseat, so this is one of my favorite features since Alice is usually in the car-seat back there.  Speaking of car-seats the anchors are easy to get to by simply lifting the little latch. BONUS the anchor is hidden under that same latch when you don’t need them for a clean rear window area. I love that!

The rear view mirror is pretty awesome too! With HomeLink! The Auto Dimming Mirror automatically dims the harsh glare of reflecting lights.

Mirror

This is an awesome car front to back. Comfortable! But, most of all it’s FANTASTIC on gas!! In a weeks worth of driving I never even used a full fourth of a tank!!  I normally go through $60 worth of gas a week in my Honda CRV, that’s one tank of gas.  The cost of gas alone  puts this car in the AWESOME category!!

WHINES

Does having to give it back count?  Ummmm probably not. Other than that NOT A SINGLE ONE!!! Two THUMBS enthusastically up! WAY, WAY, WAY UP for the Kia’s 2014 Optima Hybrid SE. Comfort, sleek and fantastic gas mileage!

Now, for my next car………. Dear Kia………..  I would like to test drive the 2015 Kia Cadenza, ya know…. just sayin’….

I almost for to mention:

Kia

Disclosure I received a complimentary week driving the Kia Optima EX Hybrid for the purpose of my review. No, they didn’t let me keep it…. they NEVER let me keep these cars?? WHY??? I feel I really need to see how far I could drive on a single tank of gas. No other compensation was provided. The opinions are mine and 100% honest. I have not been influenced in any way.
