LEGOLAND! 2015 Brick-or-Treat Party Nights

If you are lucky enough to live in Southern California and have kids you’ve no doubt been to LEGOLAND!

But have you ever been to Brick-Or-Treat Party Nights??

unnamed

This was the first time that I have attended Brick-or-Treat Party Nights and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! Halloween at LEGOLAND is THE place to go! A safe place for kids to Trick I mean Brick-Or-Treat! No having to worry about the candy or whether the kids are safe.

Living so close to LEGOLAND California Alice and I head over as often as we can and after this weekend I’m wondering why we haven’t been to Brick-Or-Treat!?! This was by far the most unique Trick-Or-Treat experience I’ve ever had.

Even without Brick-Or-Treat LEGOLAND is great entertainment throughout the Park, including the new LEGO® Friends Heartlake City!! Alice was mesmerized by Heartlake City an area in LEGOLAND that is actually geared toward girls! The area isn’t overly GIRLY because the boys like the show and the rides as well. From the stage shows to Mia’s Riding Camp carousel, not to mention The Heartlake Fountain, there has always been a splash area in this area but the area is WAY better now!! Don’t forget this is recirculating water, soooo no drinking! The Heartlake Fountain is one of Alice’s favorite spots in LEGOLAND!

Ahhhh but October LEGOLAND really shines!! Every Saturday night in October the entire park transforms into a not-too-spooky Halloween festival featuring a variety of fun activities including the new Candy Quest walk-through at the Adventurers’ Club in Fun Town, a Fall Festival complete with Pumpkin Patch Building and blue-grass style music in LEGO Friends Heartlake City, interactive story-telling, seven treat stations with specialty items including a  LEGO® NINJAGO™ giveaway and commemorative Brick, new roaming candy carts throughout the Park and two bonus treat stations inside SEA LIFE® Aquarium.

Sea Life Aquarium is an amazing part of the park and they really shined for our visit.  I have to admit my favorite LEGOLAND employee was the pirate stationed near the Jelly Fish on October 3rd. She was FANTASTIC with the kids!! Hugging, posing for pictures and really TRULY interacting with the kids. I love it when you find a character that goes above and beyond.

A dance party area where kids could learn some fun fishy moves. The dance area got really busy as the night went on when all the flashing lights could be seen.

Grab tickets for Brick-Or-Treat for October 3, 10, 17 and 24 and even Friday October 30th. The event starts at 5 p.m.

Even the LEGOLAND® Hotel joins in on the fun with its own Halloween party on Oct. 31 with candy giveaways, a dance party and a special visit from the Mail Order Monsters exclusively for Hotel guests! How much FUN would that be for kids?!?!? To me this would be the PERFECT Halloween Celebration!

Brick-or-Treat Party Nights is a special event and admission can be purchased for as low as $35 if purchased online in advance. Special event ticket holders can enjoy costume contests, trick-or-treating for children 12 and under at treat stations and candy carts throughout LEGOLAND California Resort where kids can gather tasty goodies and other surprises. The LEGO themed treat stations and candy carts offer a safe, fun and entertaining trick-or-treating experience for all to enjoy with festive music, live entertainment including the hilarious “Boo Crew,” a dazzling animated Spirits of Brick-or-Treat light show, and family favorite, the Ghost Cruise Scavenger Hunt.

SwimmerI promise you, adults as well as the kids will have a FANTASTIC TIME at LEGOLAND!!!  Alice and I had a GREAT time!! Not just for Brick-or-Treat’s Party Night but we had fun everywhere else too! From rides to the waterpark (which if you are in the Carlsbad California Area this is by far THE GREATEST Waterpark EVER!!) We went around the ‘lazy river’ inter-tube ride four, yes, FOUR times, it’s that AMAZING!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!  This is the greatest water ride ever!!! The water flows quickly with plenty of water surprises that will cool you off completely with TONS of water!! I know this for a fact because I kept getting turned INTO the water….. so much for the makeup and my great hair day that I started out with in the morning!!  There are TONS of water slides, tunnels as well as places to just float. It’s my personal favorite area of the park.

Alice is giddy over the entire park; from the Waterpark to the LEGOLAND Rides to the Aquarium, but Brick-Or-Treat made her day even better!

I take care of Alice during the week and LEGOLAND is less than 5 miles away; needless to say it’s one of our all time favorite places!!  I promise after you’ve been to LEGOLAND you will never look at a LEGO Brick the same way!! It’s absolutely amazing what the LEGOLAND Master Builders can create with LEGO’s!!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! For instance the Death Star? It took half a million LEGOS to create! If you are a LEGO fan be sure to check this post I did a few years ago, scroll to the bottom of the post for a sample of LEGOLAND Starwars designs. AMAZING!!

Halloween time at Legoland California is AMAZING!! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!  From candy carts. stage shows and the most amazing park representatives, you AND your kids will have a great time!!!

Brick-or-Treat is only happening on select Fridays and Saturdays this October.

The NaNa’s Brick-Or-Treat Tips!!

  • Spring for an All Day Pass – Go all out! Get the All Day Pass and WATERPARK!!! I promise the water-park is amazing!!
  • Arrive Early –There is so much to do! There are rides, shoes and LEGO architecture that you will want to explore and well, awe over!!
  • Mid-size or Large Treat Bag – While LEGOLAND does provide bags it’s just an overall great idea to bring your own Trick-or-Treat bag; I would opt for a large bag. Alice left with 2 boxes of LEGOLAND building sets that wouldn’t have fit in smaller bags.
  • Bring snacks – As will all amusement parks if you have a lot of kids you’ll want to bring extra snacks. There are plenty of food areas (and excellent ice-cream! stands) but they are on the pricey side. I always plan on just one meal at LEGOLAND and pack the snacks for in-between.
  • DO NOT MISS THE FIREMAN SHOW!!! Get seating early – The fireman show is so funny, each and EVERY SINGLE time!!!  We never, EVER miss the Fireman Show. Yes, it’s THAT funny!!
  • Prepare For Long Lines – where there is candy there will be a line. Just be patient talk to parents and look out for LEGO art!! It’s EVERYWHERE!!

WHINES

One small whine, the employees at the turnstiles when you walk in the park had no idea where to get the wrist band. One sent me one way, another directed me in another and after standing in line at guest services I found that there was an employee walking around right AT the turnstiles. So, go thru the turnstile and look for someone holding neon colored wristbands! Other than that minor irritation I don’t have a SINGLE WHINE!! Employees are friendly, helpful and truly enjoy being around kids of all ages. I do have a couple of tips for your next trip or first trip to LEGOLAND California!

And a personal whine… buy an additional camera battery!! I ran out of battery around 7pm.  Otherwise you’d have a TON more pictures!!
