Let’s Go Shopping at Rue21

Since I’ve started watching Alice during the week, I’ve realized that finding affordable, durable style at rue21 is a total lifesaver for my daily routine. I practically live in sweatpants and in jeans. I need comfort now because I’m on the floor rolling around all day. I get paint, glue, dirt and grass on my pants, just about everyday.

Why I’m Refreshing My Favorite rue21 Finds

I don’t know about you but comfortable is the most important feature I look for in pants. Course, I am always looking for CUTE too. I am a picky girl, so I want comfort, cute AND I don’t want to spend a fortune either. Personally, I can’t afford $100+ jeans or sweatpants.

Check out rue21. They have jeans that are as CUTE as those $100 jeans, but at a price I can afford. I’m in love with these Curvy Belted Crop Jeans. $26.99?  Those are jeans I can afford and have money left over!!!

I LOVE To Shop At rue21

I like to shop at rue21 first because the prices are awesome. Next because the descriptions are so thorough. Each of the descriptions have full garment descriptions and fitting descriptions too. For instance the Curvy Belted Crop Jeans are curve hugging through the hip, thigh and knee. The leg opening is 14 inches. The inseam is 23 inches.

The description includes the material make up as well. The jeans I want are 80% cotton, 18% polyester and 2% spandex. Those are going to be some soft, comfortable jeans. The other part of the description that I’m totally impressed with is rue21 tells you what size the model is wearing. I like that feature because it shows me approximately what I’ll look like in each item.

Next in my shopping basket, are the Heathered Roll Leg Sweats. These look so comfy!!  I want to pair the sweats with one of the graphic tees for gals by rue21, like the MINION tee’s! Y’all know how much I love my Minions.

I can shop at a physical store or at rue21.com. Same great prices and free shipping if you spend $50. I love that I can afford a full outfit from rue21 and not just a single item. The selection is awesome. from T’s to jeans, girls or guys, jewelry to shoes, flip flops to hats. The selection is affordable and hip. Be sure to check out the FINAL FEW items. The Zig Zag Knit Wrap is going in my cart right NOW!

I’d love to know what your favorite rue21 piece or pieces are.

Refreshing My Old Blog Posts: The Good, The Bad, and The 404s

Updating an old blog post is a lot like an archaeological dig. You head in expecting a quick “dusting” of the archives and end up unearthing a series of questionable life choices from 2014. From over-filtered photos to advice that didn’t age quite as well as a fine cheddar, the past can be… loud.

I recently opened a “quick update” on an old favorite, only to find a digital wasteland:

  • Missing Images: Key tutorial steps that now require “extreme imagination” because the hosting site vanished.
  • The Dead Link Graveyard: Half my former brand partners have apparently rebranded as “AI Crypto Collectives” or simply ceased to exist.
  • Antique Fonts: We’re talking styles that haven’t been cool since the dial-up era and look like they belong on a Geocities fan page.

Why I’m Optimizing This Blog

It’s not just about vanity; it’s about SEO survival. While I might be cringing at my old writing style, fixing broken links and updating keywords is like whispering “Pick me!” directly into Google’s ear.

When I refresh this content, the site runs faster, the “404 Not Found” errors disappear, and the search engine gods are finally appeased. I’m not spiraling into a mid-blog crisis; I’m just clearing out the blog ghosts to make room for new traffic.

How I Am Giving My Content a Facelift

I’m sitting on a mountain of old posts, here is the “Peanut Butter and Whine” guide to a quick refresh:

  1. Killing the 404s: I’m using a plugin to find dead links and point them somewhere useful.
  2. Update the “Now”: If I mentioned a product from five years ago, I’m trying to swap it for the 2026 version.
  3. Spruce up the Metadata: Making sure my Focus Keyword (like “blog”) is in the headers and the first paragraph.

While You’re Here…

Don’t let your visit be a “one and done!” Since I’m already tidying up the place, why not stay a while?

  • Win Big: Check out the sidebar for my current giveaway—I promise this one is actually alive and kicking!
  • Earn Cash: Some things never go out of style. Rakuten still pays you to shop, and in this economy, why wouldn’t you take the free money?
