Lizzie And Lou Seal Book Review
There are times when Alice and I love a book simply by the picture and the title. Seriously, how do you not laugh with THIS cover?? Lizzie with her red hair and oh that expression!! I swear I’ve seen 6-year-old Alice look at me like with that look……. daily!
How cute is Lizzie!?!? Then there is Lou, a big (as in HUGE) blue inflatable seal.
Lizzie loves her flip-flops; Dottie One and Dottie Two (very straight faced Alice stated “Well, what else would you call polka dotted flip-flops??!) and Lou Seal. Seriously, every time I say, read or type Lou Seal I laugh. That’s FUNNY!!
Lizzie takes off from the family beach trailer down to the shore. Except, Lizzie is little and Lou Seal is LARGE so there is a lot of dragging going on. Of course Lizzie has to drag poor Lou over wood, shells, sea glass and starfish. By the time the duo gets to the water poor Lou looks worse for the trip. 
Lizzie is a smart little tot and has a very ingenious way to heal Lou Seal. Nope. No spoilers here; you’ll have to grab this book and see how this all turns out.
WHINES
The title alone makes me laugh every time we start reading this super cute book. Fun illustrations AND Alice loves that she can read the entire book without help!! Have I mentioned lately just how smart this kid is!?!
