My husband and I have started doing some Uber Eats. Last week a deer jumped into the side of our car. Thankfully both our car and the deer were unhurt (although the deer likely had a bruised face), and last night we had to navigate around flooding. Never a dull moment, that’s for certain.

Up a little early for me at 9. Not much going on today, scheduled some doctors’ appointments. Had to reschedule yesterdays with the cardiologist because my transportation showed up 30 minutes late–and I knew the doctor’s office would say that’s too late. But when I called them to check yesterday, they said “our systems are all down, actually. You can either come in and wait with a lot of other people to see if the computers come back up, or call tomorrow to reschedule.” I said I would call today and reschedule, lol. It is nuts that doctors are so reliant on computers now that they can’t even see patients without the computers working! There really needs to be paperwork backing up those computer files, right?? Especially in a doctor’s office. Every patient should at least have a basic file. Lord knows they still make us fill out forms! Do they just scan those and then shred them??

Did not get lost yesterday but the trip was very long.. the town is only about 20 minutes from here but there is no straight bus…. I had to either go to the Mall of America on an express then neviagte from there or go to Minneapolis and transfer from there…took the Minneapolis option…it took me 2 hours to get there.. lol wound up doing only one gallery before I had to navigate back home….at least I enjpyed the one and will do the local art gallery another day…

Hubby finally got our cold water working. We’ve been without hot water since November. A cold water pipe was leaking so he had to reroute the cold water through the hot water pipes. Now that pipe is fixed and we can flush the toilet without having to turn both faucets on at the sink and relying on water pressure to fill the tank. lol

I should never have gone into Michael’s….Went in JUST for brushes and wound up with all the makings for a summer door wreath…by the time I was done – well – it was a wee bit more than what I planned on spending…then I had never gone in a store called 5 Below,,, reminds me of a shop in Cape May NJ Family Dollar…so of course there were odds and ends there – once again I spent $$….I should relaize by now that everytime I leave the house I spend..LOL.. anyway today I am staying put….baking some zucchini pineapple bread…

I was like a child yesterday when my Christmas ornaments came…all the beautiful red balls with gold trim and pointsettias….Today it is the first time it has been consistently warm enough to put my plants out…bought a wrought iron plant stand that holds 4-5 and my daughter put it together for me -I tried and it was lopsided..lol….Made our dinner reservatons for tomorrow evening after the ballet….

We did a day trip near DC yesterday and did a little thrifting. I found the most wonderful chair ever at a Habitat for Humanity Restore for $55. I think that it was a bit on the pricey side considering it was used and missing a roller on the ottoman. (From my websearches it looks like it’s about $200 new at Amazon and that may even be a nicer version of what I found). But it is so comfortable. I have a lot of problems with my legs and to find a chair that comfortable is fantastic. It is also very low to the ground (I’m wondering if its made more for tweens or kids) and that makes it comfy.

Home today…Planning on washing the windows outside and waiting for deliveries…We decided on a white tree this year for Christmas with all red ornaments….Always wanted one but my hubsand hated the idea…did a trial run with the tree and it fits the living room perfectly so put it away…all the ornaments should arrive today…later on calling the retaurant for Saturday reservations…sun is shining and the temp will get into the 70’s today…

For several years, Michele, I had a white tree. I loved it. You can do any color with it and it will pop. Mine had one of those rotating things in the base that caused the tree to light up with whatever color you wanted the lights to be (the tree had fiber optic pine ‘needles’ that reflected the light.

Great niece who is 8 ( going on 21 🙂 ) is starting to get a little interested in reading different types of books. She has asked me several time to get her some book about this/that.
I was in dollar tree and saw some Nancy Drew books and I passed them up because I was thinking they were old. BUT backed up and pulled one of the shelve and started to read. THEY have up dated it, today they have computer, cell phone etc.
Let say I am reading one of them and it is not bad………………. I bought 8 of them in order.

I was so happy that we got water back yesterday. Our town has been under a boil water advisory since Tuesday, and not even being able to brush your teeth in tap water is annoying. So, imagine my annoyance when there was another water main break yesterday about 2 hours after the boil water advisory had been lifted. More brown water. We’re back under a boil water advisory until minimum at 10pm tomorrow night. Tuesday through Sunday. This is crazy. Send help. All our dishes are dirty, we’re now just eating out even though we really can’t afford it. Ate at BK three times the other day because it was cheap.

Another one of those Woke up and could not go back to sleep. Finally decided to do laundry 2:00 AM Gathered up regular laundry, and 3 nice size blankets. Laundry room empty so loaded up 4 washers. 4 am every thing put away, recliner here I come. Turned TV on watched about 30 minutes of a movie and I was out.

I’m home alone. I start streaming music on my phone and got into the shower, started shampooing my hair and the power went off. So the song that was playing was “Anxiety” by Doechii, I was like this is how horror movies start lol. I got a text from the power company saying it would be back on in 2 hours. It came back on 30 minutes later. I’m just happy it’s back on.
