Heather

My Friend Heather!

Where my readers at??  Or my book listeners!? I’m a listener. I like the multi-tasking aspect of hearing a book and crafting. (YES, that dang MOOSE is still missing an antler. Maybe today!?) The public library is an AWESOME source of both written books and listenin’ books.

AUDIOBOOKS!!  Dang, that word just wouldn’t click in my head. I imagine it did for you right away though right??

Audiobooks are my favorite. My favorite series is the Eve Dallas, In Death, series. I LOVE this series of books. J.D.Robb (aka Nora Roberts!) Go in order. The characters are so fascinating. Listening is AN AWESOME experience. The audiobooks are narrated by: Susan Ericksen. She is amazing. The accents, the different characters come to life. I LOVE this SERIES!!!

J.D. Robb’s popular futuristic In Death series features police lieutenant Eve Dallas and her tycoon husband, Roarke. The series is set in mid-21st century New York City and, occasionally, off-Earth. The books are primarily police procedurals with a focus on the romantic relationship between Eve and her husband.

Again, me with my shiny…… the reason I went all library…. go get the books tirade is I want you I want you to meet Heather.

Heather and my daughter Selena have been friends for so many years. To know Heather is to love her! Seriously, the gal is amazing and super interesting. From Cop to Knitter. (DAMNNNNN this gal can knit! I know, because I was lucky enough to receive an awesome winter set that I use all the time.

Heather has started a ‘fireside chat’ about life and books. (BTW, who in their right mind BUILDS a house on a mountain IN IDAHO and doesn’t put in a fireplace?!!? Seriously?!?!?)

Go check out Heather’s YouTube channel. Grab your next read. Trust me, this woman goes through books fast! I can’t even listen as fast as she can read. Selena as well. Dang!

I’m off to start Nora Roberts newest series: The Dragon Heart Legacy.

BTW, if you do listen to the Eve Dallas series. I’d love to know who you would picture as Roarke. I have Mayim Bialik in her Amy Farrah Fowler character as Peabody. (Ya, know…. if you were wondering)

I got hooked on audio books when I was driving to TN to visit family. It was around a 8 hr trip and I would go through almost 2 books down. Made the trip go faster…………….

JD Robb …………… MAJOR FAN!!! Just started reading #54 yesterday. I have all of her books with a label on them with book #. and I reread them ever couple of years.

I’ve never listened to an audiobook! I don’t know how it is now, but it used to be they were ‘abridged’– so I felt like I was being cheated, lol. I’m a reader of ‘real’ books. On occasion, I will go for an e-book if I have to. I just ordered Ozzy Osbourne’s autobiography. Somehow I missed it years ago when it came out, but I love watching him and Sharon and their son Jack on The Osbournes want To Believe. When his words are on the screen in sub titles and you know what he’s saying, he’s actually a pretty intelligent guy.
