TomBow Scrapbook Tape

SURPRISE!! I love taking pictures! I crack myself up I’m so FUNNY!! (Course this is really ONLY funny if you either a) know me in real life or b) are a regular follower of Peanut Butter and Whine.)  Almost all my posts include at least 1 picture or 10. (If I thought I wouldn’t alienate all my readers because of load time I would post so many more pictures every day!)
I love taking pictures and capturing these memories!! My favorite pictures are of my Grandbabies! These 3 kids crack me up!! As a result my camera is never far from me at any time. I print out my favorites for frames, to carry with me or add to a scrapbooks and memory books. While I love creating photobooks online and having them professionally printed I also love plain old fashion scrapbooking!  My dream is a once a month scrapbook club! My own version of a book club. (JUST way MORE FUN!! Sorry Selena!)

I’ve learned that when you are creating a handcrafted memory book the MOST important item you need is your adhesive.  It doesn’t matter if you have the cutest picture and the BEST embellishments if it doesn’t stick to the page and STAY THERE your scrapbooking time won’t be fun you will get frustrated and you won’t want to do it again. Not to mention it will look like a mess and you won’t share your creation with others!

I gathered some of my very favorite photos and some scrapbook paper and put Tombow to the test.

I am soooo thrilled to bring you a review of Tombow adhesive. Tombow is refillable, acid free (you don’t want to ruin those pictures do ya??) non toxic and (LOVE this one) and has a STRONG INSTANT BOND!!

 First! It fits my hand PERFECTLY!!  The adhesive glides like a dream!  There is a little hinged door that closes over the adhesive runner so that you can store it and not have paper/lint/stickers stuck to it when you go to use it the next time.  (love that feature!)

I used a small bit on each corner rather than running the adhesive down the side of the photo just to see if Tombow would hold. WOW! These pictures didn’t budge at all!!
 
This is my attempt of holding a picture upside down so you can see that there is no sag in the pictures they adhered instantly and didn’t move!!  

I found TOMBOW permanent adhesive tape did a PERFECT job!!

The Tombow adhesive is 0.33″ Width x 472″ Length.  Ideal for use with memory albums and archival materials. Acid-free glue is ACMI Certified. Photo safe. 
           
I had to share the second page too… one of my favorite days! Dancing in the rain with Emma and Eli in Michigan. Talk about soaked to the core!

I found Tombow worked wonderful for a few other craft projects.  Years ago my son gave me a mouse pad that looked exactly like a rug we use to have in our livingroom when the kids were little.  I have a laptop so I always used the pad as my mug rug.  Well, I used it so much, spilled so much on it that the ‘rug’ came off the rubber mat. I hated the idea of throwing this away and I thought I might as well give Tombow a try.  I used the adhesive the first day it arrived almost 2 weeks ago, I’ve since spilled water and a baby bottle leaked on the rug but the adhesive has held tight!!  I am THOROUGHLY impressed with the bond this adhesive has!!  WOWOWOW!!

I give Tombow 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!! This is the perfect craft adhesive!
