Valentines Day Flowers!
Valentine’s Day is on the horizon, which means love is in the air, along with the scent of rose petals. Every year, an estimated 224 million roses are grown for this day alone. The rose has been a symbol of love and virtue for thousands of years, dating all the way back to ancient Greece, where the red flower was associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love. With roses being such a time-tested token of affection, it’s no wonder they make up more than 50 percent of the flowers given away on Valentine’s Day.
If you aren’t signed up with Ebates you are SERIOUSLY missing out!! Just for signing UP you’ll receive a $10 bonus!! I love the fact that a little pop up comes up when I’m shopping on an Ebates $$$ back site!! Seriously! I’m already shopping there and now I get money back!? WOOOOHOOOO!!! Ebates even looks for additional coupons for ME!! SIGN UP HERE!!! You won’t be sorry!!
What is a little more confusing is why anyone would act surprised when they get a bouquet of roses. Giving your sweetheart roses may be a nice gesture, but it’s not exactly a clever or creative one. Do you really want your significant other to open her door on Valentine’s Day to discover a bouquet that looks identical to the ones all her friends and coworkers are getting? Or do you want to give her flowers that are just as special and unique as she is?
Best Flowers to Buy for Valentines Day Created By: Ebates
I’m still mad for that deep cherry red rose!
I like both Ebates and Amazon for flowers. It is too late for Valentine’s Day this year, but there are plenty of holidays this spring to get flowers for, the information will come in very handy.
Some really useful information here. I think I will print it out!
I would love to receive a personalized bouquet. Roses are beautiful, but so are many other flowers.
I like to grow succulents, aloe vera in particular.
I like flowers so this post was just a feast to my eyes. My favorites are lilies and orchids.
I love getting flowers! I used to get them more, but after my stem cell transplant, certain flowers started making my eyes tear and swell. Like Lily of the Valley and these are my favorite flowers!! Great info!
I’m already signed up for ebates. My husband and I both love the smell of carnations, they just smell clean.
I love all flowers and these are great ideas. I have had a couple of orchids but haven’t had much luck with them.
I’ve been coming back to this post everyday just for a look at the Baccara tea rose. The black cherry colour is utterly decadent!
I would be happy with any bouquet of these beautiful flowers. I like lilies most of all.
These flowers are beautiful. I especially like the tea rose.
All these options are so lovely and so different from the traditional roses.. Abouquet of a mixture of lilies and tulips is what I would like….
I do like slightly unusual flowers, like sunflowers or lilacs. I wonder if you can get bouquets of huge sunflowers, lol.
I’ve never been much for roses, but I do like getting plants (that can be repotted.) For some reason, the scent of roses reminds me of funeral homes. I know, that’s weird!
224 million roses? I buy them the next day at 3 for the price of one, so that’s a bunch for Mum, a bunch for my sister & niece, and one for Dad’s grave!
I don’t like cut flowers that much. Would rather have a blooming plant.
My favorite flowers are tiger lilies. I would love to get something like that for Valentine’s Day! <3
This is so lovely a choice to make… Red roses are the tradition but who says that you must stick to that.. The gardenias are my favorites….
