You’re probably wondering why I’m excited about a Wireless Multifunction Mini Router.  Because I’m actually connecting to the Internet so much FASTER since I’ve started using this very handy little gizmo!! First it features a variety of modes to fill whatever role required in your network!  AND; it has enough speed and wireless range to power a complex assortment of devices, enabling you to create a highly efficient mobile office or entertainment network in no time.

In the evenings you can find me in the livingroom sitting with DH; laptop on my lap; working away on my blog. Sooooooooo many times I am screaming at my laptop because it’s so slow!! So, how easy is it to use the Etekcity Wireless-N Mini Router?!?! Well, if you can plug something into the wall socket you can do this!! The installation manual was a little confusing but one quick Google search and a YouTube video later I was set. All-in-all 15 minutes and I had a very strong wireless signal through out the house. SO EASY!!

I was a little worried I was going to have to connect cables and type in a ton of information and go back and forth. NOPE!! The setup is done wirelessly.  Seriously; your basically plugging it into a wall outlet, choose the SSID that the mini router is broadcasting on your computer, punch in the IP address located on the back of the router; log in with your default username and password provided and TADA!! You are up and running. SO easy!

MORE TO LOVE

Once your router is configured you can also create a second “guest” SSID.  Perfect!! Now when the kids come over everyone can get on the wifi with the guest log on!! LOVE that!!

Access Point

In Bridge mode, the Mini Router can connect to an existing wireless network and rebroadcast it under a new name; useful for organizing different users of your network into separate connections: e.g., if you ran a coffee shop and wanted to create a separate network name for your customers to connect to.

Client

In Client mode, the Mini Router connects to a device such as a Smart TV or video game console using an ethernet cable and then can be used as a wireless adapter, enabling the connected device to connect to the internet wirelessly.
