2013 Kia Rio sx Part 1
Let me tell you about this cute little car. This is a 2013 Kia Rio sx.
First, this little car has some pick up and go! The Rio sx is a smooth ride!! The Rio sx is a 1.6L Gas Direct Injection 4 cylinder engine. 6 speed automatic with Active Eco System. Sport tuned Suspension. Electric Power Steering. Drives like a dream!!
The Kia Rio sx is a safe ride!! Look at all these airbags!! Seriously!! That is a lot of safety in a little car. 
Today’s post is from the drivers seat. There are too many perks for one post…. besides… if I write really slow… do smaller posts maybe they’ll leave this little beauty with me longer??
I mean really …. just a week!?!?!
Did you know that the little tiny arrow on the gas pump icon shows you which side of the car the gas tank is on?? Kia… you are brilliant!! (okay, yes I know that other cars have that too… but… Kia was the first car I noticed it on, so don’t mock me. For those of you that are like me…. I’ll wait here while you go see if your car has the arrow. But, hurry back please.) Can’t see the arrow in the photo? Click on the photo to enlarge. See?? I think of everything!
GREAT gas mileage too!! 28 city and 36 highway! That sounds mighty good to me with gas hitting $4.49 a gallon in California.
Big display area. The speedometer lights up in red which would not photograph for me. Hummmm note to self….. try to take photo at night.
Ohhhh and the lights? You can set your car lights to come on when the car is turned on!! Brilliant!! So now I do what my daughter is always telling me to do….. drive with your lights on even in the daytime for safety. Now it’s a no brainer!!
I truly love that the two cars I’ve reviewed for Kia have the side mirrors that fold in. GREATEST. INVENTION. EVER!!!
Not only do the mirrors fold in… but they are heated!! Another major WOW factor for me is the turn signal is on the mirror. I truly wish that was on all cars!
The steering wheel has everything! Audio controls, bluetooth! All of it!! Steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
The rear view mirror has a compass and the homelink. LOVE the homelink!!! Homelink can open the remote gates and garage doors. LOVE!
The 2013 Kia Rio sx has leather seating and the front seats are heated. Ahhhhhhhh heaven!!

Very cute car! I’ve never driven a Kia. I know I’ll need a new car in the next couple of years. The gas mileage is good, but I’ve seen better out there. A friend is getting 36/40 on his new ride. Gas in California is through the roof, so when I get a new car it’s a pretty important consideration.

My Honda Civic is $16,000 MSRP with a 1.8L engine and 28/39 mpg w/ an eco button. It’s better w/ a better deal o.o Sorry idk what else to say lol. Um… but oh I know! The Kia is more widely available. Honda Civics aren’t too common in a lot of states. I live in Hawaii (39% Asian) so it’s quite prominent. And our gas is also around the $4.49 mark, so I feel your pain o.O

That thing about the gas pump? I had no idea! Heated side view mirrors! Amazing! I love the full airbag safety measures and the fuel efficiency! And then obviously all the other small perks like the homelink, the internal GPS, the heated front seats and the voice activation. I am just sold one the air bags alone! That is just so cool! I also love the heated mirrors. Here isn Michigan we get so much snow and I always forget about the mirrors. When I can finally get the windows to roll down so I can scrape the snow off with my hand, not a good thing! Heated mirrors gets another plus!!
