Navigating Uncomfortable Conversations at the Holiday Dinner TableBy Justin Lavelle Oh the holidays! We may love our family and enjoy seeing them, but we may also have very differing perspectives on the world. Family gatherings seem to be a catalyst for uncomfortable conversations with family members whether it be about politics, religion or just having to update the entire family on your life. After a challenging political season and vastly differing views on certain topics, some may consider sitting out the holidays all together. My Dream For You Is Wonder by Carole Ann Hausman
I am so happy to share with you my review of My Dream For You is Wonder. From the same wonderful team; author Carole Ann Hausman and illustrator Joanne Raptis. This is the second book in the My Dream for You series. The first book was released in September 2015. My Dream For You Is Wonder came out in November of this year. The messages in both books is beautiful!! Alice and I reviewed My Dream for You is Happiness when it was first released. A beautifully written and illustrated book from Hamer House Books. The series celebrate the joy and wonder of childhood. Both books have a message that kids and adults alike should take to heart. The message in this book is one that myself as an adult should take to heart!! The sentiment on the opening page is one written by Albert Einstein. “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” The book invites you to WONDER and use your imagination. Wonder about everything; whether it’s the delicate wings of a butterfly to the majesty of a giraffe! My favorite page is one that makes five-year-old Alice…

I Am In Full Blown “Hunker Down” Christmas Creatin’ Mode!!
I gave myself a gift earlier this year of the newest Cricut Explore Air 2 machine. It’s addicting! I only want to hunker down and create things. I don’t want to work. I don’t want to crush candy I only want to hunt on Pinterest for things to make. Basically, I want to add a sticker to everything from my phone cover to t-shirts. Kitchen towels and tumblers. Wine glasses to windows. So trust me when I say I am truly enjoying the Christmas Season!! I am doing pretty good so far, I’ve made kitchen towels for my girls. I designed and made t-shirts for my Granddaughter Alice. They came out super cute too. I am really happy with the finished product. I just need to need to iron the design on t-shirts. BTW I used a LOT of glitter vinyl for these! Ya’know that girls can never have too much glitter! What about you? Are you done with your Christmas shopping? I’m 99% done. Okay, fine I’m 86% done. I tried to do most of my shopping online so I could use coupon codes and free shipping. Okay, mostly I played with the Cricut and now Christmas is less…
