XperienceDays.com

You have got to check out XperienceDays.com. Xperience Days is the coolest website out there for the most unique gifts in the form of “experiences”.  With 1,500 adventure gifts available across the US in over 50 major metro areas. You can choose from a relaxing day at a spa to a hot air balloon ride, or a chartered sailing excursion to a breathtaking aerobatic plane ride!! You will find the perfect gift for anyone and EVERYONE!! All of their unique gifts are presented in the form of a gift certificate which may be redeemed by the recipient at their convenience.

Narrowing down my Xperience Day was hard!! There are experiences in every price range from under $100 to $2000. With TONS of things to do in my area. I could have gone Kayaking! (But then who would take pictures?? I can’t get my camera wet. Sorry. Yes, that is my excuse and I AM sticking to it!) San Diego bike tour. (okay quit laughing, I COULD have gone biking! I think I remember how….. maybe…) Surf Lessons (Okay, even I can’t say that with a straight face! I can barely WALK ON DRY LAND!!! Let alone balance myself on water!) Trapeze class! (only if Diane B. and Vernoica V. come with!!) Whale Watching, the list goes on and on!! I finally picked an art class for my XperinceDAY.  Even though I am not an artistic person. I’ve said it a million times over “I can barely draw a stick figure that LOOKS like a stick figure”

The XperienceDays.com site is super easy to use! Print out the certificate and present it at the time of your experience. Easy as PIE!! XperienceDays.com even sends you a reminder that your experience is coming up the next day.

I went for my BYOB art class. I have to admit the first thing I thought of was “REALLY?? I can’t draw anyway, and I’m going to add alcohol?” But, it was SO MUCH FUN!!!  (note to self! Next class do not set your cup of wine next to your water cup. Yup, wasted perfectly good wine by rinsing my paint brush in it. TWICE!! The first time I didn’t realize and drank the wine and then noticed the water was still crystal clear! Ummm ummmm)

DSC00009I was the first to arrive for class, I walked around and snapped some photo’s of art work done by others. Check these out: The artist for this painting of chocolate labs?? EIGHT YEARS OLD!!!! No that isn’t a typo. 8.

The golden lab artist? NINE YEARS OLD!! 9  yes… 9.  DSC00007

The pony below? THREE and a HALF!!!

I asked the instructor “So these are like truly gifted children with remarkable talent right??”  Nope!! These kids didn’t know how to draw or paint when they started!

When I asked what we would be painting I was directed to the front of the classroom “You’ll be going home with a painting of Stained glass with poppies” (you should have heard the laughing going on in MY HEAD!!) (Oooooookay if you say soooo)
