Christmas LEGOLAND California Style! With Hilary Duff
This is the first year in I don’t know how long Alice and I missed the tree lighting at LEGOLAND California. Poor Alice is so sick, so sick in fact that she decided to share with The Non. Why not right? So we cough and cuddle. LOVIN’ the cuddle time, hating this cough!
Here is what we missed at LEGOLAND California on the 27 of November.
CARLSBAD, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2017) – Award-winning actress and singer Hilary Duff helped Santa pull the switch to light the world’s largest LEGO® Christmas tree at LEGOLAND® California Resort during the 15th annual tree lighting ceremony in Carlsbad, California. Duff, popularly known as a star on the critically-acclaimed and buzzy TV Land series “Younger,” spent the day enjoying all the attractions at LEGOLAND with her son and family before heading to the giant LEGO® Christmas tree for the evening’s festivities.
“We feel so fortunate to be at LEGOLAND California Resort, “ said Duff. “We spent the whole day with family and close friends and this is definitely one of our favorite places. We had the best stay at LEGOLAND Hotel and now Luca wants to know why his room at home can’t look like the pirate bunk bed room at the hotel!”
At the ceremony, LEGOLAND California Resort donated $10,000 on Duff’s behalf to Baby2Baby, which provides low-income children ages 0-12 years with diapers, clothing and other basic necessities. By distributing to non-profit partner organizations including homeless and domestic violence shelters, Head Start programs, foster care programs and children’s hospitals, Baby2Baby will serve more than 150,000 children in Los Angeles this year and tens of thousands more across the country through the Baby2Baby National Network.
“I feel so fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people who really focus on mothers, children and babies tirelessly to give them the basic necessities that everyone deserves,” said Duff.
Prior to Duff pulling the switch that turned on more than 11,000 LED lights on the 30-foot tall Christmas tree, she was presented with a LEGO castle ornament as an invitation to return in the spring when the new LEGOLAND Castle Hotel is set to open. More than a dozen of the LEGO castle ornaments adorned the enormous tree which features more than 400 other LEGO ornaments and is created from 245,000 green DUPLO® bricks. Fireworks illuminated the sky above Fun Town and snow cascaded onto the crowd below officially kicking off Holidays at LEGOLAND California Resort.

I’ve only been to the one in the Chicago suburbs. I didn’t realize how many organizations they contributed to.

That is nice Legoland CA donated $10K to Baby2Baby, it sure does sound like a worthy cause. I’d love to visit this Legoland some day!

15 years, I had no idea! That is great, I know my nephew wants to go there. I bet that is amazing to see, and the tree, thank God we don’t have to decorate one that tall! Hope you both start feeling well.

I hope Hilary brought a decent pair of shoes with her – how could you last all day in those platforms?

When I get a grandchild or 2 we are going!

Legoland would be a kid’s dream come true. And I find myself wondering how Hilary Duff manages to stay upright in those platform shoes, lol. Seriously, I really like her in her new show.

I just bought business plan pro, but I still don’t quite understand how to estimate/compute the start-up costs for starting a business, in my case an online business at that. Is there a website that can assist me? Any suggestions? Thanks.
