Where Did Summer GO?!

Seriously, I feel like I just blinked and it’s the end of August. What the heck?! Where Did Summer GO?? Why is time going so FAST!?

I admit, I’m definitely not as young as I use to be!  Holy Guacamole Batman; having Alice here with me made me realize that kid has A LOT of energy!!! I am TIRED!! It definitely proves having kids when your younger is totally the way to go! These people that have kids in there 50’s and 60’s are NUTS!! (sorry, if you are one of them. I still love you…. I just wonder where you get your energy and can I buy some?!?!)

Which brings me to sleep. With a 7-year-old that has been on summer break and staying up later; not to mention a new to us house, getting her to sleep at night was a STRUGGLE to say the least. Add to that the fact that the room stays light (remember I’m on the top of a mountain with a spectacular view so I opted for no curtains. Might not have been the best idea since this room never seems to be dark!)  Sorry, I wandered off there for a minute.

Basically; SLEEP. I need more than Alice seems to need. I also can’t ever seem to get comfortable! Tossing and turning that I am just associating with turning 60. Who knows. I just can’t sleep all night long. (p.s. I miss you sleep!!)

Back in California I had grabbed a mattress topper for our old mattress. I loved it. The Husband well; not as much as I did. So when I made a move to grab a new one for this house he frowned. (Blah, blah, blah Hello!! The topper is 3″ thick and 79″ long and 37.5″ wide. It fits my side of the bed PERFECTLY!!!
