High-waisted shapewear briefs
They are one of the most popular best butt lifting shapewear choices to minimize the appearance of the tummy. They extend up to the natural waistline or sometimes below the bust. They also provide full support and coverage of the lower abdomen.
The high waist will help smooth out the bulges creating a seamless transition between the hips and the stomach. The firm compression they provide around the midsection will flatten the tummy. They also help lift and shape the butt, enhancing the overall effect.
They are made from breathable and stretchy materials. Make sure that they are made from moisture-wicking fabrics to stay comfortable and cool. These pieces can be worn under almost any outfit and they’re also quite effective under high-waisted bottoms.

Thanks to the high waist design, the lower abdomen will get targeted compression. It will help flatten the tummy and create a smoother silhouette. They also prevent the fabric from rolling down. These shorts help smooth the tights, reducing the appearance of cellulite.
You should also look for pieces that are made from breathable stretchy materials, and that have seamless construction to eliminate any visible lines under your outfits.
Corsets and waist cinchers
They have been designed to target the midsection. Being an effective choice for those who want to reduce the appearance of the tummy. They’ll wrap around the waist tightly, providing firm compression and shaping to achieve an hourglass figure.
These garments provide intense compression around the lower abdomen and waist, helping flatten the tummy and defining the waistline. Some have steel boning to provide extra structure and support.
They can be worn under many outfits, formal or casual. They are quite popular for special occasions. Especially those where more dramatic silhouettes are desired. Many of them come with laces, Velcro straps, and adjustable hooks. These will allow you to customize the compression level, ensuring a snug fit and the garment staying in place during the day.

I guess I am showing my age because I have looked at so many pictures of different shapewear. To me shapewear is like stuffing sausage in casing………………… Not going to happen. If somebody has a problem with my rolls then close your eyes.

Man, the money I have spent on these items…. I am so done with uncomfortable clothes. The older I get the more I just want to be content and comfortable life’s too short.

I’ve been trying either shorts that stretch with a high waist and some briefs that have a very high waist tht are shapewear. I once tried a shapewear bra slip and oh oh, I was in the dressing room, and could not get the dang thing off. I was panicking to think what would it take – three sales clerks with me holding onto something while they all yank, 911 to have EMS rescue me while my eye bulging nad can’t breathe. I was in there for a good half-hour, managed to get it off 1/4″ inch at a time. No more sausagewear for me. It is fine if it is just like shorts or briefs but nothing that is more like a slip. I always had a tiny waist, it is so gone, I don’t know where it went – so I keep assuring myself I am very well nourished, don’t keep fretting about that tummy. But I love what shapewear does that is comfy enough to wear all day!!!
