Fancy China and KYOKU Japanese Non-Serrated Steak Knives

When The Husband and I moved to Idaho I TRIED to get rid of a bunch of stuff. Coming from a self professed hoarder that means I gave away 3 things. One of those things was our mismatched plates, bowls and such. I decided that we should use the fancy china that we received as a wedding gift. WHY was I saving it and only using it at Christmas? Our kids aren’t going to want them after we are gone, this set just isn’t their style. While, personally, I love the design. SO why not use them!! If they break, they break. (I’m all for less dishes to wash anyway!)

Of course this wasn’t a decision that I had thought completely out.  Yeah, my china has that pretty silver band around each and every piece….. in other words NOT microwave compatible. (Ackkkkkk!) However, that is a small inconvenience.

Now when you come to our house for dinner you get served on pretty delicate china. AND thanks to the  newest edition to steak night at the Gruning home a stunning set of Fancy China and KYOKU Japanese Non-Serrated Steak Knives! HOW lucky are YOU!?!

KYOKU Knives

First, how gorgeous are these knives?!?!

These are Japanese non-serrated steak knives manufactured with 67-layered stainless Damascus steel, which helps you cut through any juicy steak smoothly, without compromising its original texture and taste. The gorgeous herringbone pattern on the base of the tang shows off the stunning craftsmanship and the steak knife’s unique identity. Each blade has been cryogenically treated.

Each of the 4 Kyoku Knives are 8.7” x 0.87” x 0.7”

Our Damascus steel steak knives have a slightly curved edge suitable for cutting through a juicy gourmet steak without disrupting the flavor and texture; The G10 handle is ergonomic and provides a comfortable grip when cutting.

DURABLE HANDLE

Precisely cut from a single piece of ultra-sturdy, high-carbon steel imported from Japan, the stunning “Full Tang” offers exceptional durability and control.

WHINES

Nope, not a single one. Stunning design. Full Tang handle AND sharp! Like WICKED SHARP!! What could I possibly complain about? These are steak knives that will last a lifetime.

Every time I see anything about Japanese steak knives I think about those old commercials where they use their knives to cut through a tin can. Who in the world is out there cutting up tin cans with knives?

I always have trouble finding good knives. I don’t think I’m particularly rough on them, lol, so I guess I just have bad luck. If these are good, I would definitely buy them. I need good knives.

That plate needs a steak. Your china and the knives look good together. I was not aware of this company. My husband and I share our only good knife. It might be time to invest in quality knives.

Sad to say grown kids don’t want there mothers china. My mother had Christmas china and she kinda forced my brother to take them. They are still sitting in his garage 10 yrs later. Then she had other good china nobody would take it she has found out that I am NOT taking it. My niece took it but it is sitting in a storage room. When I moved from my house to a apartment I got rid of so much stuff. Donated it and they picked it up and it filled a box trailer. And out of all that stuff I need to rebuy two items for a total $25

Not a china fan but I love a good knife. And these really look good will have to check them out.
