Smart Stuff Natural Mineral Based Sunscreen #smartstuff

Parents are way smarter now than even just a few years ago. I don’t think I had even heard of sunscreen when I was growing up. I never put sunscreen on my own children, and the youngest is 35! Now? Now I can’t imagine letting my grandkids out the door without their sunscreen on. NOW I understand what sun damage can do. Not just the wrinkles, age spots and older-looking skin; but more importantly, if can help lower their chances of getting skin cancer I’m doing it!!
Check out this broad-spectrum protection from Smart Stuff. A natural mineral-based sunscreen that provides SPF 30 UVA and UVB protection.
I love that this sunscreen is safe for the entire family, from the babies to grandma! No harmful chemicals go into Smart Stuff only Zinc Oxide, a natural mineral sun filter. Not only excellent sun protection but it’s moisture rich as well. You can use Smart Stuff on your body AND your face without worry of breakouts or irritation. This moisture and antioxidant rich formula helps keep skin soft and smooth while fighting free radicals and defending against oxidative and environmental stress. NOW, THAT’S SMART!
MORE TO LOVE!!
This is not an oily sunscreen, your skin looks dewy and soft but it’s not greasy at all. This sunscreen is water-resistant for 40 minutes. That’s a huge plus for us, we spend a lot of time at the beach, lagoon or in the pool all summer long. Another perk that I love is Smart Stuff is eco-friendly, biodegradable, Reef Safe
Free of Parabens, PABA, Petroleum, Phthalates, Gluten
No Artificial Colors or Fragrances
I love that this sunscreen goes on white until you rub it in. That is especially helpful when slathering a squirmy 4-year-old who is anxious to run free. I can see where I still need to apply sunscreen. For myself I love that my skin LOOKS great with this sunscreen, my skin looks dewy and touchable. My skin is soft and not sticky, tacky or greasy at all. You can see how much better just the skin on my hand looks after I apply my Smart Stuff sunscreen.
Since I’m protecting our skin from the sun, how about nasty little bugs too!?! Smart Stuff has the answer there too! With Smart Stuff™ Natural Insect Repellent. The kids and I have been going on a picnic in the park on Thursdays and the bugs have been horrible! Not just ants, mosquitoes and gnats. I don’t want to spray the kids with bug spray. I don’t want to spray the picnic blanket either too many scary chemicals! I was excited to try Smart Stuff. Made with NO DEET. Instead made with natural botanical essential oils and extracts it really does repel those nasty little bugs! The packaging says it will repel even deer ticks!
This WILL be in our camping gear from now on! It’s a very lightweight spray that smells so FRESH when you spray it on; but the scent goes away very quickly and still continues to protect us from being bug lunch. From the 4-year-old to myself; no one had any adverse reactions to the spray. No itching, no redness, no breakouts.
Eco-Friendly and Biodegradable

Refreshing Spa-like Smell and Feel

Smart Stuff was brought about because of doctors Lisa A. Liberatore, MD. and Dimitri N. Kessaris, MD. two New York City physicians and loving parents of an autistic child became increasingly frustrated with the misleading ingredient labels and dangerous chemicals found in products in their home, they knew there had to be a better, safer alternative. Smart Stuff was born. With a team of skin care professionals, the two began developing products to address the areas of most concern to them. Their first products were a safe and effective mineral based sunscreen and all natural insect repellent. These products were soon followed with a complete line of skincare using some of the finest natural botanicals and bio-tech derived ingredients available.
SMART STUFF products allow you to take the guesswork out of choosing the right product, leaving you free to enhance and protect the moments that matter without compromising safety and health.
WHINES
Not a single whine from me. The sunscreen is amazing. I love how soft my skin feels ALL DAY LONG while it’s being protected from UVB & UVA rays! The insect repellent is AWESOME!! The bugs are feeding on other people in the park and NOT us!! (sorry other people!)
Let the SUMMER FUN begin!! We are READY!!

Updating my blog’s SEO has officially entered the same category as cleaning behind the refrigerator. Necessary. Noble. Slightly horrifying. 🧹✨
Because nothing says “fun afternoon” like opening a five year old post and discovering half the images have vanished, three links lead to businesses that now exist only in memory, and somewhere deep in the code lives a font choice I definitely made during a caffeine spiral.
Welcome to my glamorous life.
Recently, I decided it was time to “freshen things up.” You know, a light polish. A little dusting.
Instead, I uncovered what I can only describe as The Ghost of PBnWhine Past.
This sneaky little phantom floats through my blog at night deleting pictures like a Victorian librarian with a grudge.
“Oh, you liked that step by step craft tutorial with helpful photos?”
Poof. Gone.
“That product review with beautifully staged shots?”
Vanished into the ether.
Now posts look like:
Step 1: Do the thing
Step 2: [image missing]
Step 3: Trust me
Very helpful. Ten out of ten. No notes.
And don’t get me started on the links.
Nothing keeps you humble like clicking a reference and landing on:
Error 404: This business has retired to Florida.
Apparently half the companies I worked with have closed, rebranded, or transformed into something called “Crypto Spoon AI Wellness Collective.” Time is wild.
So here I am, updating old posts like an archaeologist with Wi-Fi. Replacing images. Fixing links. Adding keywords. Whispering sweet nothings to Google like, “Please notice me. I have snacks.”
It’s not glamorous work, but it does make the blog faster, prettier, and easier to find. Which means more crafts, more reviews, more giveaways, and fewer digital tumbleweeds rolling through the pages.

So if you see me muttering at my laptop and chasing imaginary ghosts with a broom made of metadata, just know I’m not losing it.
I’m “optimizing.”
Which is blogger for: battling invisible spirits, resurrecting broken links, and bribing search engines with fresh content.
Totally normal behavior.

I went out on the boardwalk once on an overcast day and thought nothing of it. Afterall the sun wasn’t shining I didn’t think it would be a big deal. Well I got sunburn, pretty badly. UV rays can affect you whether the sun is shining brightly or not. It is very important to wear sunscreen. 🙂

I am always worried about the chemicals in sunscreen and also the fact they might clog the children’s pores.. This post informed me of a different type of sunscreen..

Thankfully my parents were sensible – possibly because Dad had spent time in the army in Egypt so he knew how harmful the sun could be (he also had skin cancer on his face & head when older).

Time to slap some on and run in the sun.

Oh, boy, when I was a teen in the late 70s/early 80s, we deliberately oiled ourselves up in baby oil & laid in the sun to get a tan. We were nuts!

I will definitely check this out. I have been on the look out for a good sunscreen that’s free from harmful chemicals for some time now.
