Sweeney’s® Deadset® Mole Trap Review & GIVEAWAY!!

It’s hard to have a nice looking yard when moles are destroying it and any garden projects you get started. Moles have made our backyard look like we’ve had landmines detonate. We have MOUNDS and MOUNDS of dirt and so many holes that the Grandkids can’t even run around in the yard without falling in a hole. Then there’s the fruit trees and the vegetable garden……. or I should say what’s left of the fruit trees and the vegetable garden. We have tried everything to rid our yard of these pests. NOTHING works! Or I should say nothing HAD worked! I’m impressed with the Sweeney’s Deadset Mole Trap. We seem to seeing fewer moles since we started using this trap.

Sweeney’s Deadset Mole Trap is truly the easiest-to-set trap EVER!!! Another genius product from Victor a one stop shop for all your pesky pest deterrentDeadset_MoleTrap_Diagram needs.

The Sweeney’s Deadset Mole Trap is a precision-built triggering system designed for quick kill, unlike the poisons that we had used in the past. The Deadset is a quick kill. The Deadset contains a patented, precision-built triggering system that is activated by the slightest movement. When underground movement is detected, the spears are thrust into the ground, quickly killing the mole.

BONUS! The Deadset Mole Trap comes fully assembled and ready-to-use. There is no assembly required. It’s truly ready straight from the box.

To use the trap water the lawn really well to bring the moles food source (earthworms and bugs) up near the ground surface. The next step is to locate active tunnels. Flatten tunnels by walking on them and then wait a day. If the tunnel rises up, it’s active. This is where the trap should be placed. This method works perfectly with those nasty gophers in our yard as well.

When setting a plunger-style mole trap, make sure the spears can move freely through the ground when the trap is triggered. Test the Deadset by pulling up on the handle to set the trap and then pushing down on the trap release lever located on the side of the trap. This will drive the spears into the ground. Raise and lower the trap until the spears are unobstructed by roots or rocks.

I LOVE the fact that this trap is effortless to activate!! The ergonomically designed, easy grasp handle and an oversized activator plate are EASY to use!!! The oversized activator plate can be pushed into the tunnel by hand or foot, making it the easiest-to-set trap on the market.

I could use the electronic mouse traps. I have a soybean field in my back yard and as soon as it gets cold the mice come running, and with 5 lazy cats they just stroll right in >.<

I could also really use some of the Ant killer. Lately, we’ve been having major problems with fire ants in our backyard.
