Vampire Vacation Book Review

First, there are NO SPOILERS in this review.

So, where do Vampires go for vacation? I know you’re thinking “Wait, Vampires go on vacation?!?!” Well, of course they do! A 500 year old Vampire named Vivian built the V.V. Inn in Alaska where daylight isn’t a big problem for the undead. Vivian runs the V.V. Inn with her human husband Rafe. In Vampire Vacation By C.J. Ellisson.

The V.V.Inn is retreat for vampires and their guest; where they can fulfill their wilds fantasies. With rooms of every style available to fit every need and every fantasy; vampires shell out big bucks to spend time in this oasis. Vacationing Vampires are pampered and catered too.

Vivian is a very hands on owner. She inspects each and every aspect of the V.V. Inn before new guests arrive. Vivian meets every single vampire that arrives and each member of their seethe. Imagine Vivian’s surprise when during a routine inspection of the Inn, Vivian finds a dead human. A dead human she’s never seen before.

Vampire Vacation is a fun read. There is a quiet a lot of hot sex scenes in this book, so it’s not a book for kids. These are your Twilight Vampires. These are adult vampires who drink human blood; but not enough to kill anyone or ‘turn’ humans.

I love the match of a human husband, vampire wife. They talk by telepathy, it’s convenient, better than cell phone because there is always service and no dead zones. (Ha! I’m a funny girl!!) Vivian can even incite lust in those around her, no wonder V.V. Inn is THE spot to visit! Vivian is a strong character that has a deeply bonded relationship with her husband. I love the interaction and often times playfulness between the two.

Vivian and Rafe need to solve a murder, entertain guests and keep everyone safe!!

C.J. Ellisson brings together a great Vampire story, romance, lust, sex and murder mystery all together in this fast to read novel.

WHINES

There are times when Ms. Ellisson gives a little too much detail and information. But, overall I enjoyed the book very much. It’s entertaining front to back. I really did have a hard time putting it down. It’s funny, intriguing and plenty of suspense to boot!

The V V Inn series, from the USA Today & New York Times Bestselling Author, C.J. Ellisson:

Meet Vivian. She’s a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot—a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.

Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.

Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn’t easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?

Warning: This book contains adult content (violence, blood, and sex) and is not intended for readers under 18.

Hmm, I do love mysteries. And this sounds like it has something amusing going on too, so I think I would like this book! I’ll look for it.
