I read a lot of posts, magazine articles and such that talk about self care. As a care giver of The Husband with MS, I understand just how important self care really is. I won’t be any good for him if I’m broken.
I get stressed out and give myself a headache. My shoulders feel like bricks. As much as I would love to indulge in weekly massage or a nightly hot bubble bath complete with bathsalts, face mask,
glass bottle of wine. It’s not always in the cards for me. OHHHHHMMMMMGEEEEE I just made a funny!!
This post is how I destress and what I consider MY self care that I can do anytime!
Solitaire! I am a million percent addicted to Solitaire. Unfortunately, I tend to over indulge in phone apps. (Squirrel!! In my mind I imagine adding one more app to my phone and all the little minions that keep everything running smoothly inside will march right out. Magic smoke will billow from all of the ports and I will be left with a paper weight). (Yes, I am embarrassed to admit I have way too many apps! I REALLY should go through and clean up some of the non essential ones. Someday. Not today. Its NOT in my self care routine).
