Zmodo #2017CES Review and GIVEAWAY!!
I could easily write a months worth of posts about my trip to the CES convention in Las Vegas as a guest of Zmodo and not tell you everything I saw. I’m still in awe at the sheer magnitude of this show. Take it from me, if offered GO! GO! GO!! Unless of course you hate crowds then run, run, run the other way because there are more people in one spot than I’ve ever seen before!! With 2.6 million square feet of consumer products spanning several different hotels AND the Las Vegas Convention Center. It’s a LOT of show to see.
Even in the Zmodo booth (which was huge!) had so much to offer in the way of Smart Home technology. Zmodo is KING of Smart Home Tech!! I know I usually save my very favorite product for last but I can’t wait any longer to tell you about this one! Zmodo Smart Robot! OHMYGOSH!! Cute and SMART!!! I tried to bring him home with me.
So, what will the Zmodo Smart Robot do? So much!! Starting with being a Zmodo hub and WiFi extender! No more dead zones in my home! The robot will also play music, control all my other Zmodo devices. 360° spherical camera WITH night vision allows me to record video or snap pictures from the Zmodo app when I’m not home. The robot is still in development and I hear that he may even be able to project movies! I WANT HIM!!
There is more on the horizon for Zmodo like the Torch Panorama; another product that will work with the Zmodo app and gives you 360 monitoring but with a bird’s eye view! This is very cool! Not only can I record activity in my home but it has motion activation as well. This light bulb has more perks like color changing abilities! Set the mood for any occasion.
Snap is another great product coming soon. A small little completely wireless camera!! This little guy could be set up anywhere in your home and with a 4x digital zoom you will always get a good look at the room when you are away. Added bonus this little guy will send an alert to your phone when it’s time to charge it! Smart little guy!
The last product I want to touch on is the Torch Pro!! This product was just released yesterday!! What a product this is!! I’ve mentioned before how much our neighborhood has changed in the last 30 years (not for the good either!) Just like other areas having packages disappear from the porch seems to be common place. Grrrrr! With the help of great products like the Torch Pro I KNOW where there is a package and I can have a neighbor go grab the package for me if I’m not home. Added bonus I don’t have to answer the door for salesmen either. (insert a VERY large grin here!! BTW Girl Scouts don’t count!) The Torch Pro has 2 way audio, night vision and color options that you can easily change at any time! The camera is HD quality; 720p high-definition to be exact. Once again it’s a device that works with the Zmodo app. I love that all these products work with the ONE app!!
The Torch Pro has smart alerts; as in receiving alerts to your phone when motion is detected.

The Zmodo Replay look like an awesome product. I have problems during the summer with black bears tearing up the yard and garden would be a great way to catch them in the act.

I love the fact that I don’t have to open my door or look out my window as I’m too short to see out peephole to see who is at my door. To be able to see and speak to someone and have them recorded is great.

I like the Zmodo Pivot 1080p Wireless Security Camera and All-in-One Smart Home Hub; how could you not feel secure with such a marvelous device. I read that it is very simple to deploy and the price is quite attractive.

I would love to have the Replay system! I’ve been worried about security around my home. Last night I had a guy show up at the door at 8pm asking if I wanted to buy Ajax. I quickly said no, shut the door and notified the police of suspicious activity in my area. The dispatch said I was wise to notify them and to call back if the guy came back. Unreal!
