Today was baby shower invitation makin’ day…..(Miss Barbara turn away… turn away! Or you won’t be surprised when yours comes in the mail! Okay.. fine.. but pretend to be surprised okay??) First I searched the internet for the perfect shower picture.  Then, I invited the baby Momma and Grandma Lynn to come help assemble. We used different paper punches to make paper flowers. I just realized there is only one little flower in these cut outs.  The party hats are for the tables at the shower… cute huh? BTW baby punches are NOT for sissies! They don’t just punch out easy! Then we used the little buttons for the center of the flowers.  And WHOOLA cute little invitations ready to mail out tomorrow. Easy? Ummmm the answer is NO… no it was not (at first anyway)  I know that all you seamstress out there will be rolling your eyes at me… but MAN that was HARD! I made BabyT a block.  A crinkle taggie block. I was so excited about this project… handmade with love by Nonnie.. (ahhhh aren’t I sooo sweet!?) wellllllllllllllll FYI……. You can’t just randomly sew seams together for a block…. you must first try and MAKE (visualize) the block or you will be tearing out seams over and over and over. Anyway, once I stopped just randomly sewing pieces together the little block went quick. Now it isn’t done yet, seems you need to have STUFFING for the crinkle block… HEY! I got the cute dog felt! AND ribbon and tread! HEY!! Look at me! I’ve sewn TWO! count ’em TWO things now!! WOOOO HOOO!! I’m a regular Betsy Ross!! Now curling my hair may sound like such a simple “BIG WOO” thing… but since DH’s little trip to ER and since basically house bound since, well, I’ve taken the whole “low maintenance” thing to a VERY HIGH level!! No makeup, I haven’t actually brushed my hair in 2 months. (OMG! Has it been 2 months?!) It’s probably TMI to tell you I hadn’t shaved my legs until yesterday either.
