Why Self Care Is Important
Self Care is like a magical word isn’t it?? I do not believe my Grandma or Mom ever did anything related to self-care. My Moms skin care was a bar a soap and some vaseline on her face. Her make-up fit all in one little bag. (I did not inherit that gene! I am 1 zillion percent an impulse shopper. I’m a “GOT TO HAVE IT” shopper on social media. Because, I KNOW that new makeup will hide all my age spots, wrinkles, and fine lines because that 20-something girl with perfect skin told me so. She wouldn’t lie to me. I will look 20ish when I fork out much, SO much, money). WOW that just went “SQUIRREL didn’t it?” (If that doesn’t ring a bell go watch the animated movie UP. I can’t recommend it enough!) My Mom didn’t do spa days or soak in a bubble bath. Her idea of self-care was hitting the casino and chain smoking for hours. (Minus the smoking I DID inherit the casino desire gene, lucky for my pocketbook they are sorta far away) Our lives are busy. People are juggling so much now. Add kids to that mix and you’re REALLY running…
