Meal Prep Containers Review

A couple of months ago I decided it’s time to get my butt in shape. I know… before Halloween candy? Before Thanksgiving AND Christmas!? Yeah, I KNOW! It’s hard! It’s really hard! But, so far so good. What really helps is taking my lunch with me to work. (Yes! I consider hanging out with 5-year-old Alice all day a job! That kid wears me out!)

How AMAZING does this salad look?? img_2933

I’ve found some amazing heavy duty plastic bowls from HomeNative; these bowls allow me to take salads, soups, or leftovers for my lunch. These bowls have lids that snap into place securely and stay put! NOTHING leaks in my bag!img_2902

Added bonus these bowls are dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe. With lids that are slightly higher they really can hold a lot of food.

The bowls are black and the lids are opaque, making it easy to see what’s inside.

When you close the lids be sure to follow the rim all the way around so that they seal tightly.

Added bonus these bowls are not just reusable but they are recyclable too.

Another bonus? Each bowl has a set of individually wrapped fork, knife and spoon along with a napkin. These aren’t wimpy utensils either. These are heavy duty!!

The size of these are perfect for sending in the kids lunch boxes which is a nice bonus.bowls2

These are the perfect size for sending home leftovers this Thanksgiving! Sending home these containers with leftovers that stack easily and allow you to see clearly what’s inside will be a nice Thanksgiving touch. When the leftovers are gone these can be repurposed to hold craft supplies.

WHINES

NOT a single one! I can take my healthy meals with me! No matter what I take with me in my lunch nothing leaks out. The premium set of round bowls comes with 30 bowls, 30 tops along with 30 sets of utensils.
The square food containers also have tight-fitting lids and 50 to a set. Stackable! Reusable! What’s not to like? I’m thoroughly pleased with both sets.

Now it’s just me, cooking for one is a bit of a chore and there’s so much waste. These days I cut down on food waste & money by cooking a big pot of curry/chilli/stew etc. & freezing it in portions. No food waste & if I do it at the night rate it’s cheaper!

These are so handy! Since Dad died & Mum’s been ill and I hardly eat meat, I’m having to split packs & freeze some of the food but my containers have been through the dishwasher so often that they’re beginning to crack!

These would be nice. Every so often I have to buy new containers like this because ours disappear ‘mysteriously’ when my nephews take food home with them.
