• April 18th Photo-A-Day FAMOUS

    My Famous Friends

Photo-A-Day FAMOUS!! Okay, I’m not really famous (DUH!) except inside my own mind.  However, I did get my picture with some very famous faces. I worked for an optometrist in California one of the highlights of the year was going to Vision Expo. First and foremost it is held in Las Vegas, Nevada. VEGAS BABY!!! I love going to Vegas!! Even if it’s for work. There are always famous faces promoting glasses, stand in line have your picture taken with the celebrity. They will autograph a photo and later email you a picture together. Here are a few of my very favorites Slash an amazing guitarist and part of the band Guns and Roses. Mick Fleetwood the astounding drummer from Fleetwood Mac.  Paris Hilton  Famous for ummmmm being famous??   Mike Piazza baseball player for the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers and a host of other teams.  Mike Tyson (yes, everyone said don’t lean in if he wants to whisper to you….. I doubt he will ever live that one down). Just in case you don’t know the story…….. On June 28, 1997, Mike Tyson bit the ear off Evander Holyfield in the third round of their heavyweight rematch. Tyson…

  • April 16th Photo-A-Day TINY

    Tiny Collection Photo-A-Day TINY

Photo-A-Day TINY.  I was headed upstairs to scour the house for my idea of TINY when it hit me I have an entire shelf dedicated to TINY! I’ve mentioned before, this house has some of the oddest corners and peculiar areas. Like a small alcove just before my craft room. The HUGE area at the top of the steps outside the master bedroom that serves no purpose. I don’t understand the rhyme or reason to several areas. This lip or shelf as you leave the craft room isn’t really large enough to do anything with. So as the construction workers found things they started setting them on that lip. The collection then only continued to grow. Alice added to it. Our son Zachary on his visit added to it with a tiny little green army man that is only the size of a thumbnail. Now; it’s officially a little spot. There is an identical area above the garage door. Unfortunately it will require a ladder to get to and some thought of WHAT to put up there. I am leaning heavily towards my Mason Jar collection. They would be up and out of the way. Unique. AND I will add…

  • April 15th Photo-A-Day TRANSPORT

    Toys

The Photo-A-Day choices were Sadness which I was going to be funny and show the IRS logo and remind you that today TAXES are due. That inspires sadness in me. Hobby was another choice but since I dedicated the entire MONTH of March to my HOBBY that seemed really redundant. Then I saw TRANSPORT and that struck a funny cord in me. Soooooooooo I give you my interpretation of TRANSPORT!! Am I a funny girl or what?   I told you! I collect some of the oddest things! This little donkey has been with me for years. He is so stinkin’ cute I can’t seem to get rid of him. Do you collect useless (totally obscure and weird) items to??  Godzilla he was part of the Comet TV giveaways way back. He is 100% a keeper! Probably until Alice visits then I may lose him or she just shake her head at me too. I hope you all have a WONDERFUL week!!

  • April 14th Photo-A-Day ENTRANCE

    Front Porch

So, my plan for the Photo-A-Day prompt of ENTRANCE was going to be the tree house. But, it’s raining. I’m sugar! I WILL MELT!! Okay, fine. I just don’t wanna tromp through the mud to go to the scary tree house. So instead you get the entrance to our home. Oh and a side note here we are getting a new roof; a metal one so that the snow slides off. I’m thinking red. Whadda you think? Some of the accent pieces on the decks and under the awnings are painted red. I thought it would be a nice compliment. BUT since we are in the middle of the woods would it be TOO much?? Should I just stick to a deep green? This is not our house or our roof; this is just for example. So, back to my photo prompt. This is my entrance from porch to the inside. The entry is small with or large? Open the door and you are immediately on the main floor. Stairs to the right and a pantry closet. Kitchen to the left and main living area straight ahead. AND BEAR right there to meet you!! Seriously, Bears butt it makes me…
