April 13th Photo-A-Day BROWN!!
My streak of Photo-A-Day still going strong! Since March 1st. I pick between several different Challenges that are posted on Pinterest. I pick and choose so suit my whim. HA! It pays to be the Mamma Peanut! Sarah, you said you needed the recipe for my bread. My amazing, make the house smell divine! So easy NO knead bread. So I picked BROWN for my photo. Along with my bread recipe!! How pretty is this bread!?!? The taste and the smell is even better! Ohhh but so pretty!! Crunchy BROWN crust and tender inside. YUM!! This recipe needs two very important things. INSTANT yeast. Double triple check that it says INSTANT I now have a large jar of regular yeast = I guess traditional bread making is in my future soon. Second important item to have is heavy Dutch Oven. I grabbed mine at Walmart under $40 and it’s RED!!! It’s also already well loved! Day one mix the following: 3 cups All purpose flour ½ tsp Instant yeast 3 tsp garlic powder NOT the salted kind. This is just an addition I make because I love garlic bread. You can even add more if you are looking for stronger garlic flavor.…
April 12th Photo-A-Day PEACEFUL
Finally, my Photo-A-Day prompt that isn’t IN the house or AROUND the house. Are you excited?? I actually took these pictures a couple of weeks ago. The Husband had a doctor’s appointment and I wanted the opportunity to walk through the Healing Garden. The Healing Garden is between Sandpoint Idaho’s hospital and the doctors’ buildings. It’s the perfect little PEACEFUL spot. I had never taken the time to walk through the garden but The Husbands appointment took forEVER. Side note here (yes, sidetrack again!) doctors appointments in California take 40 minutes to get in and 10 minutes with the doctor. IF YOU ARE LUCKY!! The same appointment here in Sandpoint is 5 minute wait and 40 to 60 minutes WITH THE DOCTOR?!?! Sayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa???? You mean a doctor is going to actually sit and TALK TO US?! Ohhhhhhh Sandpoint yet another reason to love you. ANYWAY, I sat in the car with my California mind set that The Husband would be 15 minutes top. Instead of almost 2 hours! Eventually, I decided that a trip to the Healing Garden was exactly what I needed. So PEACEFUL, the only sound was me crunching through the snow. I found homemade bird houses…
April 11th Photo-A-Day TROPHIES
My Photo-A-Day for TROPHIES are different than most. I don’t do sports so there will never be a little baseball player on a trophy. Not even in school! I do NOT run. As a matter of fact if you DO see me running. Keep up or run faster cause sumthin’ big is headed our way! I bowl but with a 135 average I am not gonna get a trophy that way. I haven’t gone hunting since I moved away from home in 1977! So, no heads on the wall here. Nope, my trophies are photographs. Since moving to Sandpoint, Idaho my Nikon, my Galaxy S8 phone and my trail cams have given me amazing canvas worthy trophies!! My wildlife WALL of Fame is just off the master-bedroom, down 5 steps before you hit Alice’s room (okay, the guest-room if you want to get technical) the exercise room and The Husbands office. YES!! His office is on the OPPOSITE side of the house and 2 floors up from my craft room! Am I smart or WHAT?!?! Side tracked YET again!! To give you an idea as to where most of these were taken and exactly how close to the house these…
April 10th Photo-A-Day Signs Of Spring
My Photo-A-Day Signs Of Spring, is kinda funny because it is a gloomy day here in Sandpoint, Idaho. The sky is gray. It’s been raining on and off all day and expected to continue till next week. Ackkkkkkkkkk that mud hole at the end of the driveaway is only gonna get worse. I should have kept track of the number of stuck vehicles that had to be pulled out of the mud. Some are so stuck that I think they may just pop up on a USED CAR for sale site with a side note that says owner must pick up, no delivery available. So, my Signs Of Spring could be pictures of the mud hole, but that’s boring and I want to get back to binge watching Game Of Thrones. (HOW have I never watched this?!?! Season 2 and I’m thoroughly addicted! I’ve also wasted 3 full days. Thank Heavens I’m retired!) So, back to Spring!! These are a few pictures that Bear and I snapped on our walk. I don’t know what the draw is to moss covered rocks but they really intrigue me. Mind you this boulder is HUGE! Can’t you just hear the quiet?? This second…
