Dare to compare!! Batiste or Tresemme Dry Shampoo

Welcome to my Dare to Compare Dry Shampoo review between Batiste and Tresemme.

I admit it, I like LOVE to sleep! So, needless to say, I tend to run out of time to get ready in the mornings! So this product really called out to me! A dry shampoo! No water and NO time needed!! I’m in! Bring on the dry shampoo!!

Day 1: I washed my hair, sprayed in volumizing root lifter, styled with a flat iron, and finished with hairspray.
Day 2: flat ironed my hair and finished with hairspray.
Day 3: my hair really needs to be washed!! It’s greasy-looking and dull.
I used Tresemme Freshstart Dry Shampoo. Directions say to shake vigorously before use and in between spray bursts for best results.
Lift sections of dry hair and spray lightly at the roots 8-12 inches from scalp. Leave in for 1 to 2 minutes.
Use fingertips to massage through roots to distribute product evenly.
Use throughout the day to absorb oil and refresh your style as needed.
End of the day, and well, I am not impressed at all. My hair feels greasy. I don’t care for the scent at all. It’s a very strong chemical scent to it. My hair looks dry, like I haven’t used a conditioner in ohhhhh…. I don’t know…FOREVER!?!? I couldn’t wait for this product test to be over!! I just can’t get past the heavy, greasy feeling my hair has. UGH!!

Ahhhhhhhhh shampoooo……. conditioner…… ahhhhhh all better.

Batiste test:
I did the same exact things to my hair to test the Batiste.
Day 1: I washed my hair, sprayed in volumizing root lifter, styled with a flat iron, and finished with hairspray.
Day 2: flat iron and hairspray.
Day 3: my hair really needs to be washed…. again…… Thankfully Batiste smells deVINE!! ‘Blush’ is a floral & flirty scent.

Directions are basically the same on the Batiste can: Shake the can vigorously. Spray about 30cm (about 11 to 12 inches) into the roots. Massage through with your fingers, brush, and style.

First, the scent was so much better, but it’s not an overpowering scent at all! I still could wear perfume, and it wasn’t a problem.
Batiste is made with Rice Starch and not cornstarch like other dry shampoo products so it didn’t weigh my hair down! My hair never looked greasy or dull!!
Batiste is super light. But the part that I’m truly in love with?? I have thin hair… Batiste made my hair feel full and thick!! I have BODY in my hair that lasted all day!! AND into day 4!! WOW!!! This stuff is amazing!

I had my hair cut on Saturday and the stylist put so much hair wax in my hair I couldn’t wait to see if either products could clean off some of this wax……nope! ain’t nuttin’ gettin’ this wax out except some clarifying shampoo!!

With Batiste, my hair was full of body and SHINE!! Bye-bye greasy dirty hair!! Batiste far outdid the Tresemme product!! Two thumbs enthusiastically UP!!

Not only does Batiste come in great scents but also in colors! To help extend the time between hair colorings!! I’m definitely picking that up along with the Gold Shimmer! How fun will that be on my next night out!!
