Each of the stories are performed with a multiple readers. The No-Gun Man is read by a truly out standing cast.  Bridemaids own R.F. Daley, Jim Meskimen from There Will Be Blood,  David O‘Donnell from The Squeeze and Michael Yurchak from Club Dread. WOW!! Truly theater in my car.

L. Ron Hubbard founded the first Scientology church in December of 1953, before that he wrote pulp fiction books in the 1930′s and 1940′s. Pulp Fiction refers to the cheap paper used when printing the pulpwood paperbacks.

With over 250 timeless books, L. Ron Hubbard really proves his writing stands the test of time.  Galaxy Press has brought each of these stories are back to life!!  I do mean back to life!! With blazing gun fire, clapping hooves, multi cast rendition of The No-Gun Man is awesome!!

Written during around the same time period as other popular western tales including 3:10 to Yuma (1957), Shane (1953), A Man Called Horse (1950) and The Tin Star (1947, motion picture named “High-Noon”), The No-Gun Man is one of 36 westerns penned by Hubbard using his own name or either of the pen names he used for his westerns, Winchester Remington Colt and Barry Randolph.

The No-Gun Man was first published in 1950. A story of Monte Calhoun, once a punk kid that grows up.  Now, rather than drinking, shooting and fighting, he’s learned what a true measure of a man is.  This is a great story of coming of age. Doing what is right, even when it comes to avenging his fathers death. Monte Calhoun, arrives back to his home town civilized and law abiding.  How long can he actually hold out in a land of outlaws and ambushes, before he fights back?

I’ve loved each book I’ve listened to. From Trouble On His Wings, Hurrican and so many more. I can’t get enough! This is old time radio on steroids! These audio books are AWESOME listening.
